Kira’s wild life rescue set $50
”Kira isn’t sure if she wants to be a veterinarian like Aunt Mamie or a scientist like Auntie Lynette. Either way, she knows she wants to spend time caring for and learning about animals. She’s ready to do just that with this set that includes:
A wagon Kira can pull around, with a rear gate that folds down to fit the animal carrier
An animal carrier that has a handle the doll can hold, and fits the wombat for transport or safekeeping
A plush wombat that fits inside the carrier
A pair of binoculars to search for birds like the Paradise Parrot, with hand straps so the doll can hold them
A patterned blanket that Kira can wrap around a frightened animal to comfort it
A walkie talkie with Kira’s name on the front so she can talk with the others when she’s out in the bush
A bandage to wrap around an animal’s leg if it’s injured
SKU#: GVF48”
I really like this set. My daughter picked it out with her gift card. Not sure I would have got it for me but it’s really cute and fun and I’m glad she picked it out. The wombat is adorable and unique. He has button eyes and his fur is very realistic feeling. I think ag did a nice job on him.
The crate and wagon are all plastic, nice colors I guess. I like how the walki talki clips on her bag or she holds it easily. The binoculars can be held from either side and the clear plastic bands rotate for holding at different angles. The blanket is really soft and a nice size, it fits perfectly folded in half in the wagon but is a little oversized in the crate when folded in half. The bandage will not stay on. The Velcro doesn’t stick to the cloth.
ETA I tried fitting some of the ag pets in the crate. The new truly me pets are too big to fit. Joss’s dog Murph I can fit in there but he is a little too big and the door won’t stay closed it just pops open. Actually the whole door popped of when I squished him in there but it goes back on easy enough. The crate door is the flimsiest cheapest part and doesn’t stay latch when over stuffed. It would be nice if that part was metal but I understand everything else being plastic as real pet carriers can be too. Rebecca’s kittens fit well as do Lea’s cat and sloth. This set is similar to Blaire’s garden in terms of price, quality and play value. Both come with a pet and a plastic toy, not exactly collector quality but fine for kids and priced at $50. Seeing how a pet like kaya’s beaver is priced at $22 I don’t see them charging less than $50 for this set but waiting for a sale or 3x point offer may be a good idea if it seems steep at $50.
I think this is a great set and priced very fair. Solid A from me.
