A faux-leather messenger bag with a shoulder strap and an embossed Celtic knot on the front
A metal biscuit tin with three shamrock-shaped shortbread
(biscuits—what you would call cookies in the U.S.)
A set of three postcards from Ireland
A sheet of travel stickers to bring a bit o’ Dublin home
All food items are pretend.

I went to Ireland for my honeymoon so it holds a special place in my heart. This set jumped into my cart to reach free shipping.

Bag: I need one of these for myself. It is adorable and the knot imprint is perfect. See photos though. If you put the shortbread tin in the bag, it will not close. I still love it though.

Tin: metal. Bottom part is plain gold but the lid has a yellow and green tartan design.

Cookies: 3 of them. Shamrock shaped with "cooked" look and texture on the leaves. The back is pale. Plastic.

Postcards: 3 of your standard AG postcards. 1 for Ireland, 1 for Dublin, and 1 for rocky cliffs. Reverse features lines for address, blank space for writing a message, a stamp (Ireland has a shamrock stamp, cliffs have a horse shoe stamp, Dublin has a harp stamp), and a note saying made in China.

Passport stickers: as of this writing AG has not released a passport that seems to match this collection, but there is a Dublin arrival sticker and a Dublin departure sticker.

Just like the OP, I was annoyed by the use of plastic packaging with this set. The boxes are so much nicer and environmentally friendly. The packaging (except the bag) is recyclable, though.

This set is so cute! I got it with rewards, so it was basically free.

1. The bag: It is adorable! The imprinted design is just perfect. The only thing I don't like is that the fabric is lighter than I had hoped. I guess I was expecting a thicker "leather" feel. The handle is a little misshapen and will have to be straightened out a bit. B
2. The tin: Probably my favorite item. I love tiny things and this just gets me. It's a pretty solid piece with a cute design. A
3. The cookies: I was annoyed by how thin they were, but then realized that they fit in my doll's hand perfectly! Annoyance gone! I love the little "baked" coloring detail on the edges. For some reason, I wish there were 4 cookies. It would feel more natural, but let's just say Allie ate one . A
4. The postcards: Cute, tiny, paper. They are a heavy cardstock. They seem more dollhouse-sized than AG-sized, but they are indeed 1/3 scale. This is a time when making them slightly larger than 1/3 would have been advantageous. B-
5: Stickers: Without a passport, not worth much. Should have included a passport with each set. C-

Unlike OP, my shortbread tin fit in the bag and it closed. It might just be a slight difference in the placement of the Velcro.

Overall, I give this set an A-, but I also didn't actually pay for it, so I'm not sure about that $18 price tag.

I bought this set during a sale. It's a perfect little set for a St. Patrick's decor.
I personally found the $18 a bit high for what you get, but the sale price plus another sale added brought this to half off. A bit easier to stomach lol.

I was able to get the postcards and sticker to fit inside the cookie tin with the cookies. And the tin fits nicely in the satchel.

I love the concept of this series, and I do recommend them.
