From the AG website:Lunar New Year is a Chinese and East Asian celebration signaling the start of the new year according to the lunar calendar. People around the world celebrate it by wearing the color red, which symbolizes joy and good fortune, and by attending dances, parades, and family gatherings. This celebration set includes: A red Mandarin-collar dress with frog closures, a full mesh skirt, and gold embroidery on the bodice and skirt A red bow barrette A pair of gold glitter ballet-flat shoes with an ankle strap A red hóngbao envelope that holds five pretend $1 bills A booklet that highlights five different cultural celebrations SKU#: HBX12 $36Dress: The red and gold embroidery on this dress is beautiful! The bodice and underskirt are made of a somewhat stiff taffeta/windbreaker material. The neck and sleeves have gold trim and the front has faux frog closures as the front of the dress does not open. The skirt has 2 layers of tulle over the bodice material layer. The embroidery is on the top layer of tulle only. The dress closes with velcro up the back. Shoes: The shoes are shiny gold glitter vinyl which I love because the glittler can't flake off (yay!) They velcro closed on the sides. The soles are black plastic. Barrette: The top of the barrette and the underside clip are both plastic. It's more decorative than functional because it only holds a very small bit of hair. Overall I give this outfit an A.
