This is one of the two creations done by Harlem Fashion Row for WBU doll Evette. Evette is the very careful, carefree dresser of the 3 recently released WBU dolls, and this outfit well shows her personality. I think the outfit is of good quality and like most of the pieces even though I do not have Evette, and I do not intend to use the pieces as an ensemble but am splitting up the pieces to complete other looks for other dolls
The package included 1 tee, 1 skirt, a bucket and boots for a whopping $40. The tee has a soft texture, has binding along the sleeeves and neckline , and is has a dark and light blue tie dye type print on a cream colored background I think it would look cute with blue jeans or other casual bottoms. The substantially made dull-gold skirt with pleats doesn’t work well with it , IMO, as it is a piece that I’d have expected a less casual shirt or sweater to top it. I’m very happy to get this skirt, however, and am looking forward to finding pieces I might have t go with it. I feel the photos gave the skirt a brighter, more orangey color than the real thing which quashes some wardrobe combinations I had in mind with some more orange yellow gold pieces that I have on hand. This skirt is more in the brown color family.
The boots are familiar looking hiking and work boots that are classics, in that tan leather look with yellow laces I am very happy to get these boots which certainly will not be paired with the skirt. The bucket hat, though of good quality, is simply not to my liking and I have no idea what I’ll do with it Maybe it will work well with Evette’s other Tee in her other WBU wardrobe piec, which I also bought.
I don’t like Evette’s look, but appreciate that AG is showing different fashion styles. I like the pieces in this set enough to be happy with this purchase. I’ll get good use, I’m sure out of most of the pieces The price is high, but quality is good, and it is the handiwork of a well known fashion designer . I defrayed the costs of the pricey WBU pieces with my REWARDs and bought during a multiple points promotion so I am very satisfied with what I got.
