This set is sooo cute! My grandma sent it to me for my birthday, which is just a little more than a week away, so my mom let me set it up on a table in the living room to take pictures & display it for a little while.
Tablecloth: It's a really pretty blue color with a confetti print. I don't have any AG-sized tables so I put it over a shoe box and it actually works pretty well. The fabric is scratchy but I think it will hold up well. A
Bouquet: My flowers look kind of sickly. It came all squished together and it's hard to get the flowers to look like they're part of a bouquet and not just some dying zombie flowers. I think it will look cute once it allows itself to be arranged, but out of the box... ew. They're still cute, though. B-
Birthday card: It's not really a card... it's more like the thing you stick in flowers to let the person know who sent them. It's a nice touch. B
Napkins: They're made out of paper, not cloth. I think a little girl would destroy them in seconds. C-
Forks: I really love the forks. They might actually be my favorite items in the whole set. They're the perfect size, they're made out of metal, and they're so adorable! My dolls will love using them with all sorts of food sets. A
Orange drinks: They look very refreshing and not too fakey. I love the green straws. A
Plates: The plates aren't as good as the ones that come in the cafe set, but they're still durable. They're green, just like the straws in the drinks. A-
Cake: I love that the cake isn't stuck to the plates. I don't love that it doesn't really look like cake. It looks more like those fake fondant cakes you see next to the real cakes on wedding shows. I still think they're really cute, though, so I can't be too harsh on them. A-
Tiaras: The tiaras are made out of paper, not plastic, and again, I can see them getting destroyed. My dolls really like them, though. B+
Mimi is sorry. She thought it was a pajama party...
Kanani was very polite anyway.
Place cards: Just plain paper with a design. I didn't really use these and I probably won't. B-
Party horns: They're super adorable and festive with purple streamers. They don't fit in the dolls' hands on their own, but a small clear elastic would work easily. A-
All together, I give the set a B. I don't think it's worth $42 but I love it and I'll be happy whenever I look at it because it was a gift from my grandma.
