Classic style blooms with this sweet and subtle floral print dress designed in collaboration with Something Navy. Includes: A white-and-navy floral print dress with puff sleeves and a bow at the back. SKU#: HPR14 $16Combined comments from other threads: The white flower dress is really cute but on a dark skin girl (#112) I had to put Molly’s slip under it, the fabric is a bit thin however not overly thin, but too thin for dark skin; I really must get a modern white full slip for my girls. For shoes I am using the gold sandals from the Diwali celebration outfit and the pink beaded bracelet from that set adds a nice touch and good match to the purse.

I was motivated to get this cute dress back in summer 2023 partly because of the mix-and-match potential with the Janie and Jack pieces, as shown by a previous poster, but the dress is also a very cute stand-alone piece. Here are some additional thoughts and photos ... Description: Classic style blooms with this sweet and subtle floral print dress designed in collaboration with Something Navy. Includes: A white-and-navy floral print dress with puff sleeves and a bow at the back. $16 Pros: I think this is a really cute and pretty dress. The crisp white cotton (or cotton blend?) background with the navy blue floral palette is both attractive and basic enough to easily match it with items from other collections. With sandals, it's appropriate for spring or summer, and by changing out the shoes and adding a sweater or jacket, it's perfectly appropriate for colder seasons, too. The thin fabric and short puff sleeves help ensure that nearly any sweater or jacket can easily fit over the dress. It closes with a single strip of Velcro up the back, and the pre-tied bow is sewn onto one side, so the bow will always stay tied just the way it is supposed to be without any worry. Cons: I really like this dress and don't really have too many cons. As a previous poster mentioned, the fabric is on the thin side but not so thin that it feels cheap; I purposely put the dress on Gabriela so you can see how it looks on a darker doll, and while I think it looks fine without a slip, I do agree that you can slightly see the darker tone underneath the dress. Another possible con is that the neckline is wide enough to see the neck wrinkles on dolls like Gabriela, who were made in the years when neck wrinkles were common. (I admit that's kind of a reach in terms of criticisms, though, as the wider neckline also makes the style look cute and more updated.) Overall, I'm really glad to have this dress. Although a relatively simple design, I love the color palette, design, and flexibility of this piece, and I think it was a great deal even at the original full retail price. I give it an A. With the Janie and Jack beret and boots (2022): The puff sleeve with elastic at the cuff: A close up of the floral design: View of the back: The bow is pre-tied and sewn onto one side of the Velcro-backed dress: The plastic oval vanity tag on the doll’s lower left hem: Here she is without the boots, for a better view of the length (or to imagine different shoes on her): The dress comes in a package with a thick cardboard hanger: The back of the package shoes shows other Something Navy items in the Summer 2023 release:
