Snowy Chic Outfit for Dolls + Book
Grade: B-
From AmericanGirl.com: This cozy doll outfit is perfect for wintertime fun:
- An embroidered jumper that zips at the neck and features a faux belt at the waist - A cozy thermal-knit unitard - A fleece hat with pom-poms - Fleece mittens with faux-fur cuffs - Furry boots to keep toes toasty - The To Do Today book, filled with a flurry of fun ideas for making it a wonderful winter
The dress is the best piece of this outfit. Although it does have snowflake embroidery, I think it would look adorable with a t-shirt underneath.
The unitard is very tight fitting and somewhat sheer -- Tessa's purple undies were visible through it. I would have preferred if it was two pieces.
The boots and gloves were difficult to get on. The boots have absolutely no support; they are just a piece of furry fabric. The fleece hat is cute.

I just got this outfit on Friday with the new toasty pink boots. As mentioned above, the long john like unitard is see through. I had hoped to use it for simple pajamas, but Devyn's pink undies are pretty visible.
The overdress is polyester with pink embroidered and iron on snowflakes/graphics. The belt in the middle is not adjustable- just for looks only. It does go all the way around the back of the outfit. The zipper is functional and I left it open for one photo and zipped it up for another. I don't like the way it looks completely zipped up to a doll's neck.
The boots are white faux fur with a pink faux suede ribbon. They velcro up the back and I didn't have a difficult time getting them on the doll. There is no sole.
The mittens look very tiny to me, almost as if they wouldn't fit a doll's hand. They are pink fleece with the faux white fur trim.
For all the pink, this is pretty cute and Devyn's skin tone looks fabulous in person in this outfit.
I still agree with the grade above though and give it a B.

I totally flove this outfit. I bought it for Rhianna and she looks adorable in it. The gloves were a little difficult to get on and so were the boots but I still give this outfit an A.

I personally like it a lot. The jumper is adorable with the embroidery, and I like the zipper. The boots are a little fluffy and I can't imagine using them in real snow for a human being. The bottom has no support and seem hard to get on. (Have the outfit, looked at it, but didn't but it on the doll yet.) Cute idea, but not realistic. I would rate this A-

My biggest gripe about this outfit is that the boots have no real sole - it's just a flimsy piece of fake leather. It looks cute on the doll, but yeah not realistic. I won't wear it if it's life-size.

I just bought this for my dolls and I must say it is so cute on Melanie (my 22) We live in SoCal, but the outfit works for rain and any cold weather (like today, it is raining) I'll say an A+++!!! I wish they made it in life size! One problem is that the boots don't go over her entire feet. Otherwise, I say this is the best AG outfit yet!

This is a cute outfit, but it neither looks warm nor realistic. The dress, I agree, is definitely the best part of this outfit. It has a good material to it and the zipper really works. There's also velcro on the back, which makes it extremely simple to get on. The belt is for show only and the embroidery is sweet. A The unitard has realistic feeling/looking fabric. The thermals I own feel and look just like it-but I don't have them in unitard form, just separate tops and bottoms. BUT, mine are not nearly as tight. The doll's version is transparent and can't be worn without something covering them. But they serve their purpose for this outfit, however, NO mix-match potential. B The boots are weird. They fit fine on my doll, but I would never wear them and they don't have much support on the bottom. I wish I had ordered the Toasty Pink Boots; it would have looked a lot better. C- The hat is cute and easy to get on. A The mittens are hard to get on, but once they're on, I love them. They stay on very well. A-
