Friendly Witch Outfit Grade: B From AmericanGirl.com: American Girls can scare up some fun with this spooky set: - A witch’s dress, featuring a black velour top, a bright orange belt, and a sheer purple skirt - An orange witch’s hat - A broom that dolls can really hold - Striped stockings - Black boots - The Ghoul Café book, filled with ideas for hosting a howling-good Halloween party
I didn't fully read the description, and didn't realize the costume was a dress, so I was disappointed that it wasn't a top and skirt. The skirt did not snag on the velcro, so that's a plus. The socks are fantastic -- I wish they made adult striped socks. The shoes velcro in the back, and were actually a bit too big for Tessa. I would have preferred them to really lace up, but they're still cute and can be paired with other outfits. The hat it a hat, it completes the outfit. The broom is completely plastic and fake looking, but it stands up on it's own, so I suppose that is the reason. *MOD EDIT to remove member's dead image links*

Friendly Witch Outfit Grade = B Dress - fits nice, skirt is kinda like a tulle fabric Boots - darling, but kinda hard to get on. Also, they don't seem to have a real sturdy bottom. Socks - so cute and completely cover the girl's leg. Hat - nylon, wind-breaker type material. Mine was a little wrinkled. Broom - hard rubbery plastic, but pretty heavy.

Grade: B - I have the outfit on Samantha. It is truly adorable.
I am very dissatisfied that the boots do not fit her feet. (PM Sam) Also, she has been wearing the outfit for 3 weeks and holding the broom. I just realized today that the broom handle turned her fingers black.
And the hat does not fit on her head. It only sits on top. If you walk by and create a breeze it will fly off.

Grade: A I can understand the frustration with the hat & shoes being too small for a pre-Mattel doll. However, if anyone intends to put it on a Mattel doll, everything fits fine (the boots are snug though).
The outfit looks great on my Mattel #25, and even the hat pulls on nicely and stays put. For my purposes, I love it. The broom really does stand on it's own.

This outfit is cute! I got it from AGPNY and it is one of the best costumes they have offered in my opinion! You get: -dress -socks -shoes -hat -broom
Dress: The dress is very nice. The colors are great. I love the material of the purple section! You can also get away with having it as a 'party dress' if you use black tights and maryjanes with it, so this dress could serve multi purpose uses. Ivy(or any doll with dark hair/eyes) looks great in it, and Kit looks nice too. My only complaint is that the 'bubble' sleeves are hard for me to get on, because my doll's fingers get caught in them, but thats just me!
Socks: What can I say? They're [glow=red,2,300]PERFECT![/glow] The colors go great with dress and are the perfect touch! And even though they are socks, they cover the whole leg and no skin is showing once you put the dress on.
Shoes: I love the pointy toes! They're pretty nice shoes, but the soles are soft, and make it hard for my doll to stand up. Overall pretty nice, and might be able to go with other outfits too.
Hat: I don't especially like the material, but its an okay piece. Its a nice touch to the outfit, and it brings out the orange on the dress belt.
Broom: Ok piece. Not the most realistic looking thing, but its heavy duty and can stand up on its on like someone already said. I like how it has the handle so doll's can hold it. I also like how its tied on the bottom with purple ribbon, it coordinates it with the rest of the outfit. This broom could also work as a prop in a display for maybe Felicity or Kirsten maybe?
Overall Grade: A It only misses the '+' because of the bubble sleeves(they're just harder for me to put on) and the material of the hat.

Just got this outfit today! It's fantastic, overall.
* I was, for some reason, expecting the skirt and top to be separate, but they're OK together. Wish I could mix and match though!
* The broom is a bit cheesy/fake-looking, but I'm glad it's sturdy and stands on its own.
* I like the hat, but it is snug and doesn't fit over Mia's thick hair (I have yet to try it on anyone else).
* The socks and boots are my favorite parts -- the socks are super fun, but maybe a bit tall. When pulled fully up, they are about halfway up her thighs! The boots are fantastic -- very unique and easy to put on. The velcro up the back is a dream, and it doesn't bulge out or look like it's velcro'd in the back.
A -- points taken off for the skirt/top being attached and the broom being a bit fake-looking. Everything else is great!

Love the outfit, HATE the boots. They're impossible for me to get on (I tried two different Mattel dolls).

I got one of two today just for the broom which my Harry Potter is holding now. (Ginny's is on its way.) Yes, the broom is fake looking but so are the brooms in the movies which is why I got it. I like how it stands by itself and Harry can hold it.
The rest of the outfit is cute but I have no interest in it so I'll either give sell them or give them to my daughter or nieces. The boots are cute and I'd keep them if they had a hard sole.

This outfit is so adorable!
The dress is so cute. It fits well on most of my dolls, and looks great. The colors are prefect for Halloween. The fabric is not too thin, or too thick.
The socks are amazing. They fit well, and are well made.
My boots do fit my dolls. They are great to not just use as witch boots, but can be any kind of boot to mix and match.
The hat is okay. It fits well over the doll's head.
The broom is fake-looking. It's made out of hard plastic, and does not look one bit real at all. It is sturdy, though.

My daughter wanted this outfit when it first came out. Unfortunately, it had sold out, when we went to the store. Recently, I was able to find a partial one, on ebay. It was missing the hat, socks, and broom. Those, I figured I could make, especially with the quick tights pattern, (what a wonderful idea) posted to the list. Yesterday, we found a fantastic greenish, black and purple witch hat, at Wal-Mart, for $2.99. It was with pet costumes and fit perfectly. Looks much better than that orange one. I still have to make the tights and finish the broom. My favorite thing, that came with!c my outfit, is the little cardboard candy corn trick or treat bag. The seller added it. I've seen it with another ag outfit and thought it was so cute. I am going to try and make more. Overall, this outfit isn't my favorite at costume. I agree it would have been better as separates. Truthfully, if there intention was for it to look like a mom had to make a last minute costume, they succeeded. The boots needed better soles. The hat, broom could have come from any store. Socks from dollar store, and the skirt and top, in the girls school clothes section. Oh, the Orange belt: felt and buckle from JoAnn's. I give this outfit a c-. Needs for improvement.f
