Released in 2009, retired in 2011.
Kit loves the whimsical "bunny pilot" print of this play suit - her hero is pilot Amelia Earhart! Includes a blue hairbow, white socks, and two-toned oxford shoes. B7-F8952 $28Kit's Playsuit is a one-piece baby blue jumper in a bunny print. I've done scanning of the Sears catalogues from her time period- they are accurate, but the illustrations seem more like they're for a younger child, not a 9 or 10 year old. The suit has blue piping, a pocket on the breast, and a large buckle belt. In addition to the playsuit, you get a pair of white socks, a set of matching grey and blue shoes, and a blue hairbow. The hairbow is on a terry cloth loop in a pre-tied bow; it's definitely made for a child and not a collector in mind. The socks are your basic sock. I believe they are the same socks as in the Reporter Outfit and Molly's Rollerskating Outfit. Shoes are rather unlikely. I doubt Kit would have had shoes to match every outfit, particularly a play suit. They aren't anything spectacular. Very humdrum. I give this outfit a B-. It's a cute idea, but it seems to young and has very little detail.

There is an AG store near me, so though I don't own the playsuit, I've seen it in person. The quality is excellent.
I agree that the print looks like it's for a baby or toddler at the oldest. It reminds me of patterns on infant pajamas from the 1960's and earlier.
Maybe the print is historically accurate and it's our 21st century style sense that's making us think it's too babyish.
If they had made it in a different print, I would have bought it--the style is very nice. As it is, though, it really gives me the creeps. Imagining a 10-yr-old kid in this print is very difficult, so it just seems "wrong". It even looks funny on the doll--like someone put a Bitty Baby outfit on Kit.

This is by far one of my daughter's favorite outfits for not only Kit but for her dolls in general. She has many AG outfits but this one gets probably the most "wear" time. Kit wears it an awful lot but she'll put her other dolls in it as well. It's very well made and it looks great on Kit in particular. It brings out the blue in her eyes. My daughter likes the bunny pattern. It is very playful. I highly recommend it, especially for Kit.

I like the color of this outfit a lot - I dislike the pattern a lot. The only reason I purchased this outfit, is that I think Kit looks great in blue - if it wouldn't have been blue, I wouldn't have gotten it. I love the shoes, they are super cute. I agree that Kit wouldn't have had shoes to go with every outfit, but they do look great with this one. Overall, this outfit gets a B-! Again, the quality is there. I just don't like the print. D~

This is my favorite outfit of all of Kit's. I love the bunny print and the fact that the outfit is blue. Plus it looks great on Emily or any of the blond/redhead dolls.

I really like this outfit and bought it for my Molly because I don't have Kit. I do agree that the print and style are a little young for a 9-10 year old, but I think of my Molly as being about 7 so it works. I have 4 pet bunnies so I love the print and I can remember wearing a one piece outfit like this when I was 7 or 8 (in the early 1990s). Molly looks like I did as a child so the effect is all around quite charming I think The play suit is very well made and I think it has good attention to detail. The cuffs are rolled up and sewn in place and the front of the legs has a little pleat or something sewn in (sorry, don't know the correct term). I like the buckle and the little buttons that are blue in the center and white on the outside. The blue edging on the cuffs, belt, pocket and closing is very nice. The accessories are nice too. My shoes were a bear to get on, but they're cute. I haven't used the bow because Molly would need two and I haven't used the socks yet but they look nice. Here's Molly rockin' the playsuit with white hair bows and her saddle shoes: My grade: A

This playsuit has lots of details. I was worried it might be babyish, but it's really not in person (unlike her school dress, ugh!). I've lost the little pony tail bow after this picture, so beware of that. It's an odd piece, the way it's glued to a pony tail. It would be better if it were ribbon. A-
