Ginger® Pet Set Item# F9288 $22 (price decreased to $20 in December 2009 and the Pet Journal was no longer included) This calico kitten is a “purr-fect” companion for any American Girl. Ginger® has soft fur and comes with a collar and name tag. Includes a pet journal for girls. *Ginger does not have a magnet mouth* This kitty is so soft! She has longer hair than my older Licorices. Her tail is multi-jointed so that it can pose in may different positions and stay. She has a solid body like Coconut and Licorice. The little Pet Journal is 4 1/2" x 4 1/2" and has many fill-in-the-blank pages for you to write all about your new pet. It has pages for her likes/dislikes, photos and other important information. It contains two pages of stickers to help decorate the book. It's like a scrap book for your pet. Very cute. Ginger Ginger and her journal Ginger's collar Ginger and Licorice Ginger and Ivy for size comparison She's a great new pet for our girls. Can't wait to get the others. Grade A.

Grade: A
I love and own all the kitties, so of course I bought Ginger the day she was released. I just recieved her today and she is pure sugar and cute! She is softer then all of my other AG pets including Licorice and Coconut. I like the collar way more then Licorice's black ribbon too.
The book is neat, but I have no idea what to do with it. I'll probably give it to my future doll, Ginger's future owner. :] I'll post pictures soon.

I am not very impressed with our Ginger. She looks sort of mad. For the price I am not that happy and would give her a C rating. I think the Gingers pictured above are much cuter. So I would suggest hand picking your Ginger.

I purchased Ginger for my Felicity doll. She is adorable. Her tail bends easily and her fur is very soft and lifelike. I give her a solid A.
That being said, my Ginger is actually the second one I purchased. I returned the first one because, though she was leaning her head to the left, her left ear was obviously higher and larger than her right ear. If it's possible to hand-pick your Ginger, I would recommend that you do so.

I'll admit I was being biased when I bought Ginger. I bought her simply because she's a calico, and therefore reminds me of my real calico cat, Dottie. I LOVE calico cats, so it goes without saying that I love Ginger, although she'd look even more like my Dottie if she was mostly white instead of mostly orange! I think it's cute how her head tilts to one side, and I like that her tail is posable since the tails on the dogs aren't posable! I give Ginger an A+ because of her posable tail and just her overall cuteness. I was glad when they released Praline so that she's not the only cat amongst four dogs anymore!

I love my ginger. She is soft and adorable. My doll Jaycie even took her to the pet store (He!he!He!)The only thing I don't like about her is that her collar was ribbon. The name tag was plastic but the collar ribbon. This was unlike my older cocunut dog. In all I give her an A-

I bought Ginger at Border's recently since the store was closing. In this set Ginger is free of her collar or bow. She also comes with a different book called "Ginger's Spice of Life Crafts" with craft ideas, a poster and two pages full of stickers. The crafty ideas seem like things I've seen in other AG books such as pencil toppers and bookmarks. The stickers are really cute and appealing and the poster is uplifting. However I think my Ginger also has a somewhat mad look on her face though her mini poster says "Brighten every day with a smile!" Her eyes seem a little Picasso-ish in their placement too. If you look into her pupils it looks really strange (it's hard to describe). Regardless of Ginger's temperament, she is still adorable and I'm glad I got her. I give Ginger a B.

I have the same type Ginger as Cobaltcat. She came without a collar and with the Ginger's Spice of Life Crafts book. My Ginger was purchased from ebay. My daughter has renamed her Pirate. I think you can figure out why! I think she's a really cute kitty!
