From AmericanGirl.com:
This outfit helps Chrissa stay warm before she swims:
A hooded jacket with her team’s logo A tank top with a printed graphic White French-terry shorts A pair of slip-on sandals An embroidered visor A pretend mini IM-Me™ instant messenger to “stay in touch” with friends
$30
Grade: A-
I can't comment on the IM-Me or visor; those got stuffed in a drawer already.
The red jacket is nylon, and it's cute enough, but I think having "Edgewater Swim Team" on the back negates many of it's mix-and-matching possibilities. The pockets on the front are real, although they're behind the flap instead of under it.
The light blue tank is cute, but it has the same problem as the jacket. It would have been better without a design on it.
The white shorts are thick enough that you can't see Chrissa's undies through it, but you could probably see darker colors through it.
The shoes are the same as Bean's Summer Sandals; at least they'll provide a good template for making your own.

B+
This set is really adorable, but I'm not convinced it's worth the $30 price tag. Like Kris said, the tank top and hoodie aren't versatile at all because of the decals. I suppose you could peel them off if you really wanted to. You can't take the writing off the visor, though - it's embroidered on. I don't like the visor much, anyway. To get a good firm grip on the doll's head, you have to position the visor in a way that completely covers the eyes. The jacket/hoodie is also rather flimsy and feels kind of like a windbreaker.
The terry shorts are cute - the team logo on them isn't so specific that the shorts couldn't be used for anything else. The shorts are a little too short in my opinion, but I guess it's okay for wearing to a pool or while laying around at home. I plan on using the shorts and tank top by themselves as a pair of pajamas or loungewear. They look like good summer pajamas.
I won't bother reviewing the sandals because there's not much to say. I suppose they are realistic (I've seen people wear foam sandals to the pool), but not really much special.
The IM-me is my absolutely favorite piece. It's only about an inch long - really tiny, but really cute. A kid could easily lose it, but it is a great accessory. There's even a non-working power switch and USB hub on the side. The IM-me fits perfectly in the pocket of the nylon jacket. It also comes with a little dock, which is cute, but about as useful as Mia's iPod dock.
This outfit would get an A from me if they just did one of the following: removed the team logo from two of the four garments it's on, or lower the price to around $26.

A - I don't really mind the logos on the pieces--they add some color contrast. I think that the shorts are a little bit short and skimpy, but they certainly are in keeping with fashions today. They seem a tad tight on my doll, but again, I think this is how they are designed to fit. My favorite part of this outfit is what the color of the shirt does for Chrissa's eyes--it's a great combination. The jacket pairs well with the rest of the outfit. I think Chrissa looks good in red, and the whole set has a summery feel to it. The sandals fit well on my doll, though as others have said, they are simply foam pieces. Cute, though. I rarely use the visor, since doll headwear in general is not so much my thing, but I've been able to get the visor to fit decently. It's definitely not a necessary addition, but a nice touch for outdoor activities. I rarely use the IM-me, but it sits on a bedside table and gives the scene a modern feel. It fits perfectly in Chrissa's jacket pocket, which I think is awesome. The set gets a "-" only because I'd preferred to have paid a few dollars less for it. But considering the price increases lately, it's not bad.

I think this set looks adorable on Chrissa, and I'm really glad I got it. The colors suit her very well, and everything is made really well (except the sandals). I don't mind the decals either because I keep my dolls' identities and where they live. The shorts are super soft and fit kind of snug, but they aren't difficult to get on at all. The shirt fits perfectly, and the windbreaker is awesome. It's a light nylon material, perfect for spring and fall days. The visor is kind of hard to adjust so that it looks right, but once I get it on it looks cute. The plastic IM thing doesn't do much for me, but I'm not an 8 year old. The shoes are hideous craft foam material that I could make from Michael's for about $1.00 or less. For $30, I'd like to see better shoes, but the rest of the outfit looked so good I couldn't send it back!
Shirt, Jacket, Shorts: A+ Visor: A Shoes: F-- IM thing: C
For the price, I give the set an overall A-. I'd much rather pay less and get less or get nicer shoes.

Cute set. The logos don't really bother me. I was tempted to buy two sets so that all three dolls could have pieces to wear even if not the complete outfit (because three sets would be expensive) and two dolls could IM each other... but having seen it, nope. I like it, but not enough to buy two. The foam sandals are 'meh'. I would rather have real shoes or sandals. The shorts are nice and while, 'short', more substantial than I expected. The T shirt is a pretty blue, fits well and should suit Chrissa to a .... Yup. I like that the jacket pockets work, even though the little IM took a bit of pushing and shoving to get in. The IM is pretty neat but a bit limited with only one. Still not buying two sets though. The visor I can take or leave. I would rather a proper cap, it would sit better I think, with the bit at the back to pull a ponytail through. I like the little swirly emblem on the shorts and repeated on the red jacket. Love that the pieces are all made in the same fabrics that the 'real' articles would be made of. I'd give this a B+ too. It loses points for the visor that doesn't sit right, and the foam sandals.

I really like Chrissa's warm up set. I was able to get it from the website after Jan 1 by searching for "Chrissa". The terrycloth shorts and blue tank top are very cute and I love how everything has "Edgewater Swim Club" on it. The jacket is very nice and well made, as is the visor. The flip-flops, I feel, are a little cheaply made- they are just foam with a plastic strap to hold them on. I could care less about the IM me thing either way. Mostly I like the outfit for clothing it came with.
A; would be higher if the shoes weren't so cheap looking.
