The Wilderness outfit comes with a taupe thermal tee, a pink fleece vest, a pair of truly ugly brown pants and a set of hiking boot-like sneakers. The shoes are black with pink accents. I feel that they would be nicer were they brown, so as to match the rest of the outfit. It's nice that they have the elastic style laces- this makes them easier to deal with. The tongue of the shoe is only attached on one side- an interesting detail. The pants are ridiculous. They're a kind of windbreaker material, which is good for outdoorsiness, but really, the print is awful. The pants would look so much better were they a solid brown, with a small butterfly detail. The butterfly print really ruins the pants for me. The cuffs have adorable little thumb holes, but they are much smaller than the ones on Mia's sweater. They cuffs are also fairly tight. It was somewhat frustrating getting Inky's hands through the sleeves, but not so much that I wouldn't use the shirt. The right sleeve has a little green butterfly on it. Grade: BThe pants ruined for me, AG!

I purchased the Wilderness Outfit on Monday afternoon in AGPNY. Anyway, I didn't bring a doll with me, so I didn't have a chance to try it on until I got home. Well, I was trying to get the shirt on--and one side I was able too, but the other side I couldn't (Even other people tried!) I ended up taking the shirt off, and realized that part where the hand goes through, on the right side was a good 1/4-1/2 inch smaller the other side. I was so disappointed, because I was looking forward to that outfit, especially the top.
I would double check yours to see if the same problem has occurred.

Aw. I think I know why this outfit is continually on sale: I'm guessing many have returned this outfit because of that shirt. Though adorable, the waffle shirt is terribly difficult to put on the doll. Even when I finally wrested it on the doll, it looked a little goofy (crooked?). The vest gets an A+ for style and ease of use, the pants are darling (hey, I'm not saying I would wear them, but this is for a doll who is supposed to be 10! ). Darn that shirt... it's such a great set otherwise!

This is an adorable outfit, right down to the shoes..the fit is good except for the sleeve wrist..terrible job on that ..but overall I would give this a B+

I purchased this outfit with the Cyber Monday sale price. I don't get alot of the JLY outfits but this was to be for Jess. I just tried it on yesterday and had the same difficulty as others have noted with the shirt. It would be virtually impossible for a child to get this shirt on her doll. It took me quite a bit of time working the shirt over the hands and I was afraid I would rip the cuffs. It would've been a better design to have the wrist portion open and closing with velcro. The pants barely fit over Jess's undies so I guess a doll must go commando to have a good fit. I'd also have thought that if someone was truly trekking through the wilderness or playing outdoors when it was cool enough to wear insulated pants, that they'd also be wearing socks. IMO the outfit should have come with socks. I'll give this one a B because it does have several pieces and a cute design, but is not easy to put on even my slim Mattel Jess.

I also purchased it on Cyber Monday. The outfit is really nice, and seems like a great camping outfit. As everyone has already mentioned, the wrist/sleeves are horrendous.
The trick we use that helps a bit, is to first put the dolls finger in the thumb hole. After the finger is in, then it becomes much easier to stretch the fabric over the remaining five fingers. My 5 year old was able to get one hand in using this technique.
The vest is just darling, though, and I love the fact that this outfit has separate pieces. Tammy

Maybe I'm biased, because I have thumb-hole shirts and simply adore them, but I loved the shirt and really didn't have more trouble than I expected I would trying to get them onto my girls. I do, however, agree that the pants are pretty tacky looking. The color scheme, in general, is kind of a strange combo, but the separately, as mentioned somewhere above, most of the pieces are super useful and cute! I'd say this is about a B+ due to those horrendous pants

She usually wears it with jeans, but here’s Ainsley in her favorite outfit.
