This item was released in 2009 and retired in 2015. In May 2024, the outfit was rereleased under the same name, this time with sandals included.
Original version: Julie loves to wear this zip-top turtleneck and groovy jumpsuit on cool days. The height of ‘70s style, it’s printed with bold blossoms, and has a belted waist and flared legs. (price increase from $24 to $28 January, 2012)
2024 version: On cool days in San Francisco, Julie loves to wear this groovy bell-bottom jumpsuit. Includes: A cream-colored ribbed turtleneck with a golden zipper and round-ring zipper pull. A navy jumpsuit featuring an allover multicolored floral print, a brown faux-leather belt with a gold buckle, and flared legs. A pair of blue espadrille platform sandals. SKU#: HXK58 $36
Julie's Floral Jumpsuit comes with a cream colored, zip up shirt and the jumpsuit. The top has a circle zipper pull which is very cute and works nicely with Julie's necklace. The jumpsuit is made of polyester, has a navy blue background with brown, red, yellow and white flowers on it. It has raised, sewn seams on the legs and a faux brown belt with gold buckle. The outfit does not include shoes or a hair accessory.
Overall, I love this outfit. It's cute, very 70's appropriate and fits Julie well. The top has lots of mix 'n match potential. I only wish they would have used the snag proof velcro on this outfit. My Julie is currently wearing it with the boots from the Dog Walking Outfit, which complement the red flowers very nicely. AG shows it with her meet sandals, which look cute too.
Grade: A+

I bought this outfit because I love the colors in the jumpsuit. It's a better color combo from the 70's than some of Julie's other outfits. The small flowers, blues, and reds are very happy. I thought the jumpsuit was going to be corduroy, but it's not. It's about the most plastic, highly flammable polyester the manufacturer could find. In other words: gross! I would capitalize it, but I don't want anyone to think I'm yelling. I am still thinking about returning the outfit but it's so historically right on, that I am not sure. The fit is great (even if Rebecca looks a little bowlegged from the back). Form-fitting, but not too tight. The belt is sewn onto the outfit and is not removable. The zippered mock turtleneck is great! The fabric is nicely textured, the zipper works easily (and the oversized ring pull isn't too big). It's also a great mix and match piece. It'll go with anything and isn't covered in flowers or completely plain. Overall Jumpsuit C- (sorry, I cannot get over the gruesome fabric) Mock Turtleneck A+

Julie's Floral Jumpsuit Item# F9974 $24 (price increase to $28 January, 2012)
Julie loves to wear this zip-top turtleneck and groovy jumpsuit on cool days. The height of ‘70s style, it’s printed with bold blossoms, and has a belted waist and flared legs. So cute! I know, it's Polyester, but that's so '70s! Be careful of snagging with the back velcro closure. The jumpsuit is a little snug on my Julie, but since it's somewhat stretchy, you can make it fit. The belt is sewn on and doesn't really work. The shirt is so perfect for Julie. It's very versatile in use. The entire outfit looks great with her boots from her Casual Outfit. Grade A.

B-:
My thoughts are quite mixed on this outfit. I feel that the top is great addition to Julie’s collection, but that the jumpsuit is unimpressive. At $24, I also wish that it came with shoes, an accessory, or at least a hair tie.
Top: The long-sleeved, pullover turtleneck is fairly impressive. It’s well made, thick, and has a functioning zipper. No Velcro on this piece. Not only does this piece look like appropriate 70s wear, but it can also work for the AGoT/JLY/MyAG dolls.
Mine was folded sort of oddly in the box when I purchased it, which left the collar looking a bit wonky. However, I’m certain that it’ll straighten out with time or a bit of ironing.
Jumpsuit: I know that jumpsuits were somewhat trendy in the 70s. However, I’ve never seen pictures of anything quite like this on a 9-11 year-old. Also, they didn’t seem to be commonly worn over pullovers. Perhaps, it’s a regional thing.
The jumpsuit fits okay on many newer dolls, though it makes them look a bit shapely. I doubt it’ll fit the chubbiest PC or Mattel dolls. The polyester seems period appropriate, though it doesn’t feel the greatest. The raised leg seams and belt add some much needed detail and contrast to this outfit. However, I wish that the belt was removable. It could have been fairly versatile. Like others have noted, the jumpsuit has a Velcro closure that could snag the outfit.
Since Julie doesn’t wear this outfit in the books, Ivy has claimed it for now.
Overall, I probably wouldn't pay full-price for this set, but it could be worth getting when/if it's on sale.

I got this outfit for my 70s girl, Peggy (#58). My stepmother said it was authentic to the time period, and it looks great on Peggy ("groovy," as my stepmom said when I showed her how it looked put together).
Shirt: The shirt is a long-sleeved, cream coloured mock turtleneck. I love turtlenecks in general and am very pleased with how the shirt looks overall. I was a little disappointed that it didn't either zip completely down the front or have some sort of closure in the back, as it was very difficult to pull the shirt over Peggy's curly hair. Regardless, it's a great shirt with a lot of mix and match potential for those who enjoy swapping parts of outfits around.
Jumpsuit: The jumpsuit has a colourful assortment of flowers against a navy blue background. As others have already commented, it's made of a very synthetic polyester-feeling material...and I love it (seems so appropriate for the time period). It's very easy to put on and is very form fitting (it likely won't fit the chubbier PM dolls). The belt is a nice touch and adds some variety to the outfit.
Shoes: Seriously, AG? No shoes? For those with other pieces of Julie's collection, the lack of shoes might not be a big deal (I think at the AGP Columbus, they paired it with Julie's meet sandals), but this was one of my first purchases from the collection and I found that I had a difficult time finding shoes I liked with it. I ended up using the current MyAG meet boots, and those work well enough, but given the price of the outfit, some shoes or a hair accessory would have been nice.
Overall: I love the way this outfit looks. The pieces pull together very well to create a classic, if simple, outfit. As it's sold, however, it's a little disappointing that it doesn't come with shoes or, well, anything else. Peggy seems to like it, at any rate. I give it an A- overall: looks great but needs shoes.

The turtleneck is right on with something I would have worn as a kid in the 70's. My mother used to crochet me jumpers like this but I don't recall ever having a polyester jumper. I think its very cute though.
This was a gift to me from my mother when she bought me Julie and it was my favorite outfit in her entire collection at the time because I just love flower pants.
I don't like that there are no shoes in the box. So glad I didn't pay for it. It seems like most of Julie's line has no shoes and Julie just wears her meets shoes with everything. Don't like that.
It fits my Julie just fine. I have used her turtleneck with so many other outfits and many times with her meet pants. I like that.
Like others have said: needed shoes and another accessory like a ribbon for her hair or a clip or SOMETHING.

This is the only outfit my daughter bought of Julie's collection. the jumpsuit is quite nice, and the print is cute. The turtleneck could pair with other things.
