Since this came from a PS at AGPLA I don't have an item number but it was $14 with a $30 purchase.
Grade A-
The top is a long sleeved shimmery gray with silver glittery flecks in a mock turtleneck style. The spaghetti strap jumper is a very pretty royal blue with flowers and leaves in a swirled pattern all over in a darker shade of blue, maybe navy? The flower pattern gives off the appearance of being embroidered but it does not go all the way through - it's very thin. The high waist is accentuated with the darker blue bow tied in the center of the dress. The shoes are silver with ribbon bows attached to the front. It comes with two clear glitter hair clips
The jumper is very pretty but I am disappointed it's not a bit thicker material. I also think this dress would have been better with tights. I think Cadence's legs just look too bare with the silver shoes. I see potential in the shirt and shoes for mixing and matching. Overall, for $14 it's a very divine set.

This is the second completely unique outfit that AG has offered as a purchase-with-purchase (PWP) special through the stores. It became available in early November 2008. I agree completely that this outfit needs some thin tights to finish the 'look'. The fabrics are definitely thinner than other outfits, but all in all, I guess we're getting what we're paying for. I still like the outfit a lot, and taking into consideration its cost relative to quality I'd also give it an A- grade. I did not think to take a photo of it, but the jumper portion looks quite pretty without the turtleneck as a fancy sundress. Adding a couple more photos:

Well, I just bought this outfit during the Cyber Monday sale this year (09). For $9 shipped I thought I would try it. Yes, the shirt is very thin, not very warm if this were for real. I put this outfit on my PM Kirsten and the turtleneck went on with a breeze, but the dress was a tad tight in the waist. The shoes seemed to be tight also, not sure if they would be looser on a Mattel doll or not. I do think that tights or some type stocking would be best. I happened to have a pair of navy blue thin hose, and they seem to work well. Since there are no pics of the dress with tights I will add mine for those who are curious:

Wish I'd found this review thread before I purchased but I had been looking in the alphabetical AGOT/JLY listings...
I wanted this outfit after seeing numerous cute pictures of people's dolls wearing it. I had thought the dress was satin-y and was surprised to find it was a sort of lightweight shiny brocade, which is heavier than I was expecting. I don't like the way the bunching in the top works with this weight or really the overall drape of the dress. I'm also not too keen on how silvery the shirt is, I think it reduces the mix/match possibilities. The shoes are fine.
Fit: On my Jess the dress was a bit tight at the waist (at least over the shirt) and I don't think she's particularly plump. The shirt and shoes fit fine.
Grade: C+ because of the way the dress fabric lies, the tightness of the dress, and the silver limiting the mix-match ability of the shirt. Otherwise I like the shirt and shoes and the hair clips are fine. If I'd been lucky enough to buy it for $9 shipped as one of the other reviewers did, I'd bring it up to a B+.
Edit: I returned it.

The Sapphire Party Outfit, which I bought on Cyber Monday, looks absolutely adorable on my Rainie. The blue jumper-dress thing really brings out Rain's light blue eyes.
When I tried it on River, a #30, the same stunning eye effect didn't come out but it still looked really cute.
My only problem with this outfit is the silver shirt. It has a full-back length velcro closing, and although the velcro is made to be not as bristle-y as the usual velcro, it still sticks very easily. Added to the fact that the silver shirt is made of a very thin, floppy material, it's very easy to get snags in the shirt. I think this could be a maintenance issue if a younger child tried to put this outfit on or take it off from a doll.
The shoes are really cute, and match well with the silver shirt. The little hairclips provide just the right silvery detail to complete the sparkly head-to-toe look.
Overall grade: B+

I just purchased this but I think it looks nicer without the turtleneck. I love the searing blue color but I don't care for the silver shoes. I plan to replace those, still it was a good buy for a PWP.

Any doll with dark blue eyes it looks good on. My triplets wear it for the holidays (because well, it was cheap), and Leah with the dark blue eyes looks the best in it.

This is only part of the outfit (my dd wears it on her like a sundress), but I think Chrissa looks lovely in it:

I bought it on Cyber Monday too, as a Hanukkah outfit and I hate it. The shoes are love and I do like the silver shirt (thin though it is) with other things, but I really don't like the blue jumper on anybody (especially the doll it was intended for) and I really don't like the whole outfit together. It seems like it was a good outfit in theory, but terrible in practice, at least in my house. I'm debating throwing the jumper in my swap/sell pile or taking a pair of scissors to it and making something I actually like out of it.

I bought mine for Sonali after seeing someone else's wearing it and falling in love. Sadly the photo from last year isn't so hot, but that's why one should not take photos while sick, no matter how good the idea seems at the time. Attachments:

I bought one for my sisters Molly and it looks lovely on her. Must be the gray eyes with the silver shirt.

I got this outfit at AGPC. I like this outfit. I tried it on my Today doll, Kit, and Samantha. Right now it's on Samantha. I don't feel like changing it because it looks good on her.

Here are some photos of my modern Elizabeth in her ebay Sapphire Party Outfit. I really like the look, but I do see where the shirt could snag easily. The velcro get hung in her hair if you're not careful. B+
