Lanie's Hammock Set Item# G0748 $38
On sunny days, Lanie loves to lounge in her backyard hammock. Includes a matching pillow, plus a nature journal for her sketches and scientific observations.
I went to AG Atlanta with all intentions of buying this for our new Lanie. However, the frame is plastic and the canvas hammock is hardly big enough for her to lay down on. She has to kind of sit up. My Grade B-.
ETA: Now that I decided that I needed this in my collection, and some very dear friends bought one for me, I think it's pretty great! It's very sturdy and will not tip over. Yes, the hammock part is only big enough for the doll to sit up (sort of lounge in) and she can tip out of it (as would a real girl in a hammock), but it is very well made, pretty colors and a great piece to have in Lanie's collection.
The little Nature Journal has some of the sketches/factoids that Lanie makes in her story book. There are 5 pages with her notes and the rest of the journal is blank. Really sweet.
Here's a photo with Prudence Moody lounging in the hammock. It seems to be more her size:

Rating: A. Even though the frame is plastic, I still love the hammock. Lanie can lie down and scribble in her book as she bird watches. I love the green fabric of the hammock. Plus the hammock compliments the swing released a few years ago

My daughter just loves this! We just don't have the space for the really big items, so this is fun, but without taking up a ton of space. Lanie looks way cute in it, and the green is such a pretty shade!
When you move the pillow up toward the top, the hammock is plenty long enough for Lanie to lay completely down. We give it an A, since it is durable, well made and has lots of play value!
I absolutely adore this piece for Lanie. I don't have the camper but this satisfied me enough. I think it's a must have from Lanie's collection. I agree with mom2princesspeas - it is durable and well made. I love the color and thickness of the green fabric too. This is just one of those items that puts a smile on my face. It's just so playful and fun. My kids love it too. I highly recommend it even if you don't have Lanie.
