Released in 1994, retired in 2007. Some pieces (doilies and forks, and a revised version of the bowls) were later released as part of Addy's Ice Cream Set. Associated with Happy Birthday, Addy!
Momma and Mrs. Golden planned a grand party at the boarding house to celebrate two glorious occasions in one: the end of the war, and Addy’s tenth birthday! You can set Addy’s birthday table with two ironstone compotes that have a crackle finish, two lavender tumblers, a copper pitcher, three crocheted lace doilies, and two forks and spoons. Tuck the linen napkins into the napkin rings—they’re etched with little numbers just as they were in the boarding house so you and Addy will remember whose napkin is whose!
Mine just came today. I agree with all of the reviews, it is real nice heavy copper and real glass and all..............but after I opened it, I was very dissapointed.
There is not much too it, what was the real price 58.00??? I have a lot of dolls and all but that sure is a lot of money for a few plates and forks and a historical pitcher.
I just hate the thought that it will be retired and some day I will come across Addy's table and have no historically correct dishes for her.
I am going to keep it in the box for now.

Addy's Ironstone Compote Set ABAC $54
This set is darling! It includes two sets of each of these: ironstone compotes, lavender tumblers, spoons, forks, linen napkins, and napkin rings. It also comes with a copper pitcher and three crocheted doilies. These are very realistic looking and nothing is plastic. I rate these an A+.

These are so much better than I thought they'd be. I love, love, love the cracked finish on the ice cream bowls, the Pleasant Company stamped copper pitcher, the numbers etched into the napkin rings, the tumblers, everything! Such an impressive item. Grade: A+

Seems fitting to do a quick little review of this retired set on Addy's birthday. It is really one of the loveliest of the birthday celebratory sets that AG made. So many charming details on the compote, the copper pitcher, doilies -- it's all adorable and so perfect for Addy's story. Like all the dish sets, this one requires care when played with and it was not meant for careless little hands. Quality details merit an A+.

Not wheat pattern, it's Tea Leaf.

From Addy’s Birthday Story Pamphlet: “Momma and Mrs. Golden loaded the lazy Susan table at the boarding house with lavender drinking glasses, a copper pitcher of ginger pop, and special compote dishes for Mrs. Golden’s cherry pie. They set out silverware and linen napkins tucked into numbered napkin rings, one for each boarder.” I love this set. Here are some pics in the pamphlet and in person: The lavender glasses are real glass, but they don’t seem too fragile for play. They have an interesting star-shaped design on the bottom. The copper pitcher is very substantial and heavy. I have two different versions. One has Pleasant Company and a Made in Korea sticker on the bottom. The other originally had a sticker that said made in India. Otherwise they seem identical. This is the bottom of the pitchers: The set comes with three lace doilies for the pitcher and compote dishes. The compote dishes have a charming crackle finish and a gold-painted tea leaf design, along with a gold stripe along the inside near the rim. Here is the underside of the bowl, sitting on a doily: I think the silverware is pretty much the same as other Addy and also Kirsten silverware. The forks have three tines, and both the spoons and the forks have a similar design of two flower shapes, made up of an indented dot surrounded by five more dots to make up the “petals”. The linen napkins are lovely, and I really like the engraved numbers on the napkin rings. All in all, I really love this set and how every piece feels authentic and well-made. It feels durable and has a lot of play value, and while it’s particularly appropriate for Addy’s story, it can easily be used in other settings and eras. A+
