This outfit is worn by Kirsten in the book Meet Kirsten. Released in 1986 and retired with archival in 2010. Later sold with 35th Anniversary Edition Kirsten, released and retired in 2021.
Kirsten comes in a blue calico dress—her first real American dress. It has a “grow stripe” at the bottom that her mother let out as she grew taller. She wears the red and white apron she brought from Sweden with a pocket to hold her treasures. Her brown-striped stockings are covered by fancy pantalettes. Girls took pride in keeping pantalettes snowy white—a hard thing to do in muddy fields and cabins on the prairie. Soft brown lace up boots complete her outfit.
I have the PM version. It has held up well, except the little velcro pieces around the wrists have just about stopped sticking.

This is one of my favorite Kirsten outfits because it comes with the dress/apron/spoonbag/bonnet... all the colors just blend so nicely. My dress is from 1996-97... its held up very well, but Kirsten doesn't wear it too often so maybe thats why

This is the dress my Kirsten has on. The colours are great on here, but it fits a little snugly (as in, when she's wearing her camisole the velcro won't stay shut) and the velcro snags in her hair.
Sure, it's pretty, but not very practical. Also, the material is very thin. So, a B- for me; I can see her wearing it a lot, but only with grumblings.

Kirsten's meet dress is very pretty. I love the soft blue and scattered flowers. It reminds me of a meadow with a blue sky overhead. I have Kirsten's original meet dress from when I got her in 1987 and it has become well worn over time. My mom had to wash it and now it has a soft, broken in feel. The velcro has worn out and doesn't stick very well. I wish the collar and cuffs were really removable the way they would have been on a real dress from 1854. They don't get as dirty though! I this dress and think it is very pretty. Grade: A Kirsten's meet dress on Samantha (WB) early Pleasant Co. boots and stockings

I love Kirsten's meet dress - so simple and pretty! I especially love how the deep blue (but not too deep blue) dress brings out her crystal-blue eyes! The only problems I have are: 1. the sleeves sometimes wrinkle a little bit, and 2. the dress has stretched out a bit in the torso area. Other than that - great, practical dress for Kirsten!

I find this dress to be a pretty dress. Mine is from 1994. It feels thin, and I was not expecting the way the sleeves Velcro. I worry about breaking for some reason. I do think the bonnet and apron go nicely, but Kirsten has prettier dresses. Overall I think a B is sufficient.

I bought Kirsten's Meet outfit as a replacement part after I fond my Kirsten doll at Goodwill. I bought the outfit just after her retirement was announced. Kirsten's meet outfit is a sweet shade of blue and very nicely designed. my only complaint is i wish her boots had real soles.
