This set contains a white patterned bikini, rash guard top and swim skirt, flip-flops, and a book, which didn't make it into the review. It's a nice set, but at $32 it could have included a pair of sunglasses or something. Grade: B+ for being a cute set at a not so cute price.
The bikini is white with a blue and green floral pattern. It's a very nice ocean sort of color scheme and print. The top goes on over the head, which can be difficult at times. The straps are asymmetrical and can be adjusted easily to cover the shoulder joints. The top can also go on either way to put the asymmetry on either side.
The bottom fits very snugly and needs some stretching to cover the doll's butt properly. It looks really nice and hides the hip joint as well. The little ribbons on the sides are a nice touch.
The second look is a blue and green rash guard top and a blue swim skirt, with a repetition of the floral print on the bikini. The top is adorable and a perfect miniature of a child's swim top. It closes in the back with nice, non snagging velcro.
The skirt makes little sense by itself. The 2 in 1 idea is kind of torpedoed by the fact that you can't wear a skirt by itself in the water. I put the bikini bottom underneath and it works perfectly.
The flip-flops are cute and beach appropriate. They are green with more of the floral pattern. I think they go better with the bikini set than the blue top and skirt. They're built and look like real flip-flops, and stay on with a clear strap in back. The doll had no trouble standing in them.
Here are the two mix options with the set. I also got the Outdoor Play outfit for more versatility. The bikini top looks great with the Outdoor Play shorts and sandals.
I love this set, but the weirdness of the skirt and the price knock off a couple of grade points.
