Grade: B-
Review: Being a lover of all things Celtic and having missed the GOML Kathleen doll,I was happy that AG attempted a step dance dress for Nellie. But....
It looks nothing like a real outfit of today,it's lacking detail or even style. The shoes are worth the price I think being there unique. Cute little matching head band(for the kids of course) and I liked the socks.

I just Love the outfit. Though it is not very moden, it is still really fun, because I am a Irish and highland dancer. I thought it was cool they came out with it, because my sister has kathleen, but she would never let me see it. It fits Nellie so well, personality wise. Just my opinion.

This outfit is just stunning! The silver metallic piping really makes the colors stand out! By the way, the headband (and of course outfit!) look really great on Nicki.... her curls make the scene! A+++++++++

I have two sets of Nellie's Irish Dance Outfit. One of them was bought directly from AG. The other was bought recently at a thrift store, and didn't include the girl sized headband. So, I have two doll sized headbands and one girl sized headband between the two outfits. All three of the Irish Dance Outfit headbands have developed discoloration on the fabric. They have developed rusty-brown marks that range from streaks to tiny freckle-like dots. The two doll sized headbands have these marks only on the side of the fabric that faces the doll, so they don't show on the velvety front. On the girl sized headband, the marks are on the velvety front of the headband as well as the inside. I don't believe this is an isolated incident, because the headbands from the outfit I got new from AG and the secondhand one both have the same type of discoloration. I suspect the discoloration is something similar to what happens to Samantha's Spring Party dress. Maybe there was some kind of glue used in it? I checked both of my Irish Dance dresses, and they do not have the discoloring. Just the headbands. You really can't see the discoloration when the doll is wearing the headband, so it isn't too much of a problem for me as it is now (hopefully it won't progress further), but I just wanted give everyone a heads up about this, and see if anyone else is having the same problem with their headbands.
Thanks!

I think it is the interfacing in the headband. The dress has no interfacing so it should theoretically be fine if that's what is is.
My doll one had it only on the back of the headband too. I thought it was mold from my swamp cooler and tossed it before it spread. Hopefully that is a sign the doll headbands are only interfaced on one side and it won't spread to the fronts.

Going through old photobucket images to rehost and found this photo of our #17 wearing this outfit. Thought I'd post in this thread since the other photos seem to be failing. I do love this outfit and the shoes & socks are especially nice. I'll see if I can find a photo of those too.
