Released in 2004, retired with archival in 2008.
Nellie treasures her porcelain doll Lydia, a gift from her best friend Samantha.
Grade: A
Review: Actually she's about the same as Samantha's doll Clara but with different clothing. However kudo's to AG for finally making this doll since she plays such an important part of Nellie and Samantha's story.
Her dress in real life is a lovely Wedgewood shade of blue and the little bonnet is darling. Plus she has little curls peeking out the back, you can see why Samantha wanted her and Nellie treasured her.

^ Her shoes are painted on.
I like Nellie's doll, but I've been having an issue with her collar. It keeps popping up and I can't get it to stay flat! B+

I love this doll. Although it seems a little fragile if someone was rough-housing with it, I think it appears of great quality. It is one of my favorites for her collection and I am very glad I went through and got it.

I agree, Lydia is a darling, if fragile looking creature. As much as I love Sam's doll, I always wished that AG would make Lydia. She really is a big part of Samantha's story: showing her kind heart.

A friend has this. I have Sam's Nutcracker doll and I think Lydia is just as sweet. Her outfit is a very pretty shade of blue with ribbons and lace. I'm glad AG made this doll because as others have said it really shows Samantha's kind and loving heart which is why her character means so much to me.
