Released in 2000, retired in 2012.
Kit can read her favorite book, Robin Hood and His Adventures, by the light of her gooseneck lamp. It really works! Her candlestick phone was already old-fashioned in Kit’s time — most phones had dials by the 1930s.
Kit’s Nighttime Necessities $19 QDA
This set includes Kit's bedside gooseneck lamp, her candlestick telephone and a copy of her favorite book "Robin Hood".
Grade: A+ This is a very neat little set. I really like the candlestick phone, even thought it is hard plastic. It is easy for me to think of it as Bakelite. The clip that holds the speaker is metal. This is a really fun little play piece.
The gooseneck lamp really works! The top part that holds the light is metal and the "neck" is too, I believe. I think the base is plastic but it looks so real you would never notice. It is speckled with green paint. It may be my eyes playing tricks on me, but I almost think the lamp it's self is very, very dark green instead of black as it appears in the photos.
The Robin Hood book is a nice, thick hardcover book. As with all AG mini books, it is readable if you have really good eyes.
This great set gets an A+ in my book.

I have photoed these on a 1x1 inch scale background.
This set includes Kit's gooseneck lamp made of metal, her phone made of plastic, and her adorable Robinhood book.
Here I am showing you the two ways our phones have both come apart. One phone had it's weighted base come off and it also had the ear piece housing come off the pin. The second phone had the ear piece come off the pin and the ear piece fall apart in two. Both of these were easy to repair with a bit of glue.
Kit's lamp is great. It is an adjustable lamp with black metal and green speckles. The lamp actually works through the use of a small switch. The battery is housed in the base and helps to weigh the lamp down so not to easily tip over. Below is an image of the lamp broken down for bulb replacement. Simply pop out the plastic shield and unscrew the bulb to replace. Simple.

A great set!
I love how detailed every piece is. The book has colored pages. The phone holder lifts up when you pick up the ear-piece. And the light actually lights up AND the neck moves too! The only downfall I can see about this set is that there are only 3 pieces that comprise it. All the other nighttime sets have many more things.

I have the phone only from this set, but it is super cute and a doll can really hold it. It can even be used in Samantha's time frame.
