* This item is paired with Molly's Velvet Theater Seats and associated with the movie, Molly: An American Girl on the Home Front. Molly's Stage and Screen were introduced in 2006 and retired in 2008. *
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Okay, so Santa is busy and dropped this present off early and asked me to assemble it for him.
This thing is so darned cute, I can't get over it! It went together very easily, although it does take a lot of batteries. 3AA for the stage and a total of 6 AAA for the stage lights. The sounds are fabulous, and you get the entire Miss Victory Song from the CD, it's going to make my daughter scream with joy, that's her favorite song of all. Then there's also an old fashioned "intro" and applause. The stage lights have red/green/or clear and the dial rotates. You can also move the light fixture around.
The stage screens are just as adorable. There are 5 different ones.
I'm glad Santa splurged on this item, and I'd have to say for play value it is definitely worth it! Two years ago we got the Samantha sleigh, but I returned it. This item is $10 cheaper and so much more playable, IMO. This will be sure to get many hours of use, and also double as a stage for Marisol!
Couldn't be happier, yay!

I love the stage and I agree with you, it's a much better buy than some other big items AG has brought out. The seats are nice, too.

A post by only1genevieve moved from another PT thread:
I looked at the backdrops at AGP. They seemed movie-related to me. One was Women of the Skies, one was a NewsReel screenshot, and I think one was a cute advertisement for a concession stand (You know, with happy food mascots) - but I'm really not 100% sure on that last one.
For what it's worth, I love the stage. The lights even have little gels (tinted screens to change the color of the light). It is made out of a durable plastic, except for the cutains, which are cute. I think it would be great if you had the space or a room it would "fit" in - like, maybe you have a movie room where it can sit on a corner table and be a decoration for the room as well as a play set. The seats come seperately but they are absolutely ADORABLE.

Yes, it is all plastic, but wow- I didn't realize how cute it is! It has features I didn't know about (the screens and lights), and I was much more impressed with it than I thought I'd be.

I got this while it was really cheap ($45 I think?) and I cannot be more happy with it! I give it an A. It was very easy to put together. The noices are cute. The lights don't do hardly anything. The backdrops are all great! The velvet curtains are a nice touch. My girls use it to put on plays and ballet.

I purchased this last year during the huge AG sale... I just looked at my receipt - I only paid $25 for it. What a steal at that price! I am not sure that I would pay the $145 (?) original price tag for it, but even at half off, I think it would have been a good deal. This stage has a lot of play value at our house, it is used for all of our dolls (Molly, Emily and modern girls), and it stays set up all of the time. In my photos, it looks like the screen is sagging, but my girls didn't have it wound tight and I didn't notice when taking photos. Overall, I have to give this an A+! Only because I got such a great deal on it... we've definately gotten our $25 value, but I am not sure that we would have got the full price value (especially if you figure in the cost of the Theatre seats). D~
