I found this at a garage sale and use it to hold my few modern clothes and accessories.
The good: Wood, the construction is graceful yet sturdy and not at all fragile or tippy Drawers pull out and in smoothly Clean lines Nice soft color that reads from cream to soft yellow in different light. Nice color palette- a warm allover neutral with touches of sage and periwinkle details (the green leaf motif around the knobs is painted, not a decal. The flower pulls are plastic)
The meh: The part for hanging is too short even for modern dresses, which would bug me if I needed it for serious storage or had paid more for it. 2/6 of the flower pulls had broken off petals when I bought it.
Overall, it's a win for the skukla home. I am considering re-purposing it for Rebecca at some point.
I paid 125 for this and the trundle bed (she also tossed in two other pieces for free that her girls had used with the set) and I have to say I am IN LOVE. Even more so now that it's right in front of me.
I am not really a fan of the petals and thinking about pulling the rest of them off. I think they look nice but on a personal level I'm just not impressed. Especially since they feel like plastic compared to the rest of it being wood (assuming that it is, feels like it when I lift it). I had thought it was a lot bigger and heavier from talk but this is just the perfect size and so much lighter than Sam's trunk which is a huge plus (that thing is heavy!). I can't wait for the bulldog to leave so I can pull it away from my stuffed animals and set it up.
