I saw it today in Natick. For the most part it's nice, and if you want something to keep things in while keeping them easy to get to, it should work. The only thing I can say against it is that the pull out tubs are cardboard. If this is for an adult, not problem. But if it's for a kid, I think it would be a bit like the Barbie doll cases from years ago. The cardboard accessories box didn't last long. The cardboard in the AG storage tower is much sturdier, but I don't know how much rough handling it would take. For the price, I was surprised to see that they were shiny paper covered bins.

I absolutley love this. It is made of wood and is very well-made and heavy. The mirror is real not those fake plastic ones where the image is distorted.
Dispite the pretty pink and green colors, the storage bins are hard cardboard like the storage bins that went under the camp bunk beds. I took them out altogether and use the entire tower as a bookshelf.
The earring tree is some type of foam rubber with holes in it to place the earrings. The tray is plastic.
This item looks wonderful in my doll's room and I am glad I purchased it. I don't feel I wasted my money.

I was wondering if anyone had purchased the new storage tower yet or examined it closely in the stores. I was wondering if it was on some sort of lazy-susan mechanism on the bottom. It seems strange to have the doll shoved in the back, if it doesn't spin around so you can get to her.

There is not....you have to turn it. It is very nice and SOLID. I was in Minneapolis this weekend and it was nice. It would be OK on a dresser kind of angled and then you could reach the doll. It would awkward for a small kid as it is quite heavy.
I liked it for me (for my doll) but it would drive my DD crazy having to lift and turn it to get her doll. Although it turns better on carpet.
hope this helps -

I bought this for my DD for Christmas. It's still in the box obviously but from what I saw of it, I was very impressed. It's a very solid, heavy piece. On one side, you have four shelves and on the other side (back or front depending) it's open with the hook for the doll. On the sides of the piece, there's a full length mirror and on the other side, there's three clothing hooks. It's pretty tall and I think it's worth the money. It reminds me of a bookcase - it doesn't swivel or anything. It's one of those items that you would have to plant in one place and keep it there. It's probably not the easiest for a child to move around.

It looks okay but it really doesn't hold much for storage. I think it would be better if there was no place to store the doll and the shelves extended all the way to the back so it would hold more.

The tower itself is solid - wood - however, the storage bins are covered CARDSTOCK. Tower Description/sides: Front: shelves + bins (2) Side (R): Knobs/pegs for hanging items Back: hooks for holding doll Side (L): mirror, full-length Bottom does NOT swivel, which is too bad because I thought at first that it would/should. The earring tree is super cute and is plastic.
I should ADD that the bins are completely removable and their "slots"could be used as shelves. I've also been thinking that it shouldn't be too difficult to get a little round ball-bearing thingie from the hardware store to make the unit into a lazy-susan type display (like on Addy's table).

I keep Sugar and Licorice on the bottom shelf of the storage tower. Their heads poke out just a little bit, but nothing too bad. This is the only picture I could find.
