This outfit was worn by Elizabeth in the DVD Felicity: An American Girl Adventure. It was released in 2005 and retired in 2010.
Styled after the latest fashions of the time, Elizabeth's pink riding jacket with shiny gold buttons tops her matching lace-trimmed skirt and cream underskirt. Her riding hat features gold cording and a feather!
I absolutley LOVE this outfit! It is very well made. The dress is very accurate to riding outfits in colonial times. It comes in two seperate pieces. One the jacket, and then the underskirt. I think this is my very favorite dress for Elizabeth. I give this outfit a A++

The under skirt is a soft cream..it is heavier than a batiste, lighter than a chintz. It has an elastic waist and there is about 5/8" lace trim around the bottom of the underskirt.
I think Elizabeth should have the palomino horse for riding. This outfit is so pretty on her and I think the lighter horse would compliment her

I really love this outfit! It's very pretty and seems accurate. I only wish the underskirt had a velcro closure on the sides like Felicity's riding outfit or her Christmas gown instead of the elastic which makes it hard to get on. Plus it has no pocket slits which annoys me. But it's the same with all the Elizabath and new Felicity stuff, unfortunatly. Overall, I give it an A-.

Does anybody have a Gotz Precious Day doll and this outfit? My Elizabeth has that Gotz big head, and I would like to know if this hat would fit her? I am not impatiently wanting this outfit, but Felicity has hers, so I'm thinking it might be neat to have Elizabeth's. It doesn't fit, but the hat can sort of sit on top of her head, if that makes sense.

This was definitely worth the $28. The outer skirt is attached to a bodice. The fabric quality of the white petticoat isn't as good. But it's still overall a nice outfit. The hat is a strange shape and is more like a bowler.

One of my favorites. Looks good on any doll. Goes great with Elizabeth's meet shoes. Worth it completely! A+++++
I love the pleats in the back! I also like how the jacket can be worn by itself and look nice! (Here on Sam as a winter coat.)

This is one of my favorite AG outfits. The material is of nice quality and the craftsmanship is excellent. The little details are charming: lace at color and cuffs, the little black bow and the gold buttons. The outfit is very flattering on Elizabeth and would be on any AG girl. I give this one an A+!

On Jess, with her hair down and the hat taken off: I'm normally good at fluffing and plumping clothes up properly (for colonial gowns and dresses at least), but I wasn't able to get the underskirt poofed out well. It kept falling unproportionally and unevenly underneath the weight of the pink overskirt.

I got this in a lot with some other things and was pleasantly surprised at the quality. The underskirt and the top of the dress are a middleweight cream cotton sateen. Sateen is a twill weave that has a satin-like sheen to it. The jacket and divided skirt are a bubblegum pink wool flannel. The buttons are gold beads. The lace at the neck is much wider than that at the cuffs and hem, an inch or more in width, which makes a nice ruff with the jacket on. Very sadly, my outfit did not include the hat. It looks pretty on Elizabeth, though I personally would have preferred a darker colour. I daren't grade, as I have hardly any AG outfits, as I make most things for my dolls myself. But fabric and construction are quality. I don't love the buttons or the elastic. Still I'd be pretty pleased if I'd made this, and the fit is great.

This is such a pretty set. The soft pink is perfect for spring. My daughter had this and sadly sold it. I did find the underskirt in my box of doll stuff recently.
