This doll is awesome! I love the color od the hair. Very unique. I have seen 3 examples, 2 of which are mine, one is being rewigged - I got it bald. The earlier versions, this dolls hair is longer and darker. Whereas the most recent, from last year, it was lighter and shorter. Thought I do prefer the older version, they are both very awesome!
A+!

#21 is one of my favorite AGTs...
Anywho...I love #21's hair/eye combination. Her hair is a lovely shade of honey blond...lighter than Nellie's strawberry blonde...and she has pretty hazel eyes...which have been seriously under used by AG in my opinion. When out of the ponytails, her hair falls in loose curls to the tops of her shoulders, and you can even fashion it so the curls go out sort of like #22's. It gets kind of dry easily, but I imagine SOAG would do wonders....though even misting the hair with water works. I spend a long time working on her hair anyway, if I even want to style it. The ponytails are so cute, and even though I've taken the originals out, I've put them back in for now.
She's from eBay and is a transition doll...she's from around 2002 and has a fairly soft PM-like body. Her skin has a grayish cast, but I don't mind.

A good friend of mine owns this doll. I myself was tempted to buy her. Her hair is so bouncy and beautiful. She has so much personality! She looks awesome in Nicki's Gala outfit with her hair in braids!

I have #21, which I have named Maia, and I just adore her. Maia was very kindly picked out by Kit_Girl and green chili supergirl at AGPC, so she means even that much more to me because of that. I had wanted #21 for years and I was finally able to get her in 2005 and I couldn't be happier. I absolutely adore the hair and eye color combination. It's rare for me to find an outfit that doesn't look great on her. Although I have such a great time styling her hair (I especially love high ponytails, pigtails and pulling the sides up), I sometimes have trouble with the pincurls. The pincurls closest to her ears are a pain to deal with because the get pulled up with the rest of her hair quite a bit, which has caused some of the curl to be taken out of them. This has been the only con that I have found with #21 so far. Overall, I simply adore my Maia and she is definitely one of my favorite girls.
I give #21 an A and not an A+, simply because of the issues with her pincurls.

I named my #21 Anastasia Jacquelynne Moore, Anna for short. (Anastasia after the Grand Duchess, Anna after Anna Nalick, Moore after P!nk's real last name)
Her hair is pretty short and somewhat difficult to braid, but it's the most lovely color. It goes great with her eye color.
One thing that struck me about her is that she looks a bit more like book!Felicity to me than Mattel Felicity (the hair length seems about right, too)
She was even able to pull off the "I Like Your Style" outfit.
She's beautiful, and I give her an A+!

My pretty #21, Mia She's my mini-me. She looks good in anything and photographs easily. Her hair can be done in pony-tails because she has those extra hairs in her wig. I use a hair pick on her hair so as not to mess up her curls.

Here's Margie after getting freckled and ears pierced: Holiday wear (I think she looks gorgeous in the Scarlet and Snow outfit): LOVE the eye color! And her new PJs we made for her: I give her an A+. Not just because AG finally made the perfect eye/hair color combination (finally us hazel eyed blondes get some love, we don't all have blue eyes you know!), but she's very high quality. Her hair looks good whatever I try to do to it, and I think the pin curls are very adorable, and not all that hard to deal with. She looks really good in hats, too.

I just got Shirley for Christmas! She was from my mom. I did get to see her a teensy bit before Christmas and she and Corde took a couple pics together. #21 is a lovely doll. Her curls are sweet and she has a great hair and eye combo. Mine will actually be getting an eyeswap probably in the spring, though. Her hair is a nice shade and the pin curls are nice. She looks good in many outfits and glasses and she gets and A+ from me! Nov. Shirley and Corde [mod edited to remove dead image link]Christmas- Shirley Lloyd Adams

Mine is called Stella. I give her an A+ Her hair is a beautiful color, and I notice little highlights in it as well. She has very versatile hair, looks cute in a ponytail, pigtails, braids, down. Every time I brush her hair I fall in love with it again and discover all the different ways it can curl. She looks great in historical outfits too. I'm not sure what year I got her but she came in the Ready for Fun outfit so that should give some idea.

I got Lisa Rose in 2002 as my 8th birthday present from my grandmother (in addition to a trip to AGPC with my new doll). I originally named her Lisa Rose Reilley, but then in about mid 2007 I started calling her Rose. After Christmas of 2008 Rose was reunited with her twin sister Amelia St. Clair, hence her newest name Rose St. Clair. I wouldn't recommend this doll to young children who don't know how to care for curly hair, in 2005 Lisa had to go to the Ag hospital to get a new head because she was staring to have hair like a dog. I am now very attached to her and I love this doll! Great hair and GORGEOUS eyes! A++++++++++++ -Megan

She is quite darling, but what you can do with her hair is quite limited IMO. She's great for me, since I have so many dolls, but if I only had one or two I wouldn't recommend her due to that. *locked album link removed*

I ordered this doll online from American Girl since she is no longer available in the stores. I would have loved to have hand picked her. She is a very pretty doll. I have no regrets about choosing her - and believe me, it was a tough choice. She has a timeless look about her and I love her hair and eyes. Her hair, especially, is what makes her special. It's a great length and falls into the sweetest curls. It's a very nice color too. She is just sweet and innocent - reminds me of a little girl.

I hesitated for a long time buying #21, because I have a lot of classic mold dolls in my collection and I didn't want to buy another AG unless she had a different face mold to diversify my collection. But I had this image in my head of a 1920's-1940's girl named Eleanor. I looked at lots of pictures of #21 and she was just too cute, so I gave in. Plus I wanted to get her before she retired. She arrived only a couple weeks ago, and I'm so glad I got her! I have no complaints whatsoever. I think she might look cuter with freckles, but no big deal. She gets an A+ from me. Lovely hair that looks adorable pulled up and awesome little pin curls. Her hazel eyes appear to be a darker hazel than Mia's and Rebecca's and look more brown than green, but it's difficult to say for sure. She really is irresistible and is rising in the ranks among my favorite dolls. The 1930's-1940's girls are seriously taking over. Eleanor, Molly, and Kit are now trying to convince me to get Ruthie.

I've had Heather since 2005 and she's held up really well. I just love her hair style, hair color and she was the only hazel eye'd beauty for so long, it made her extra special. I just love this doll.

My #21 was purchased used and her pincurls seem to have been brushed out. I almost purchased this doll for my step-daughter nearly three years ago, but decided to get Lanie so that she would have some books to go with her doll. I've always been drawn to #21, and in person she is lovely. I did think that Lanie was the prettier of the two. I love the unique color of her hair. The length and the texture makes her hair so different from any of my others. It looks good up or down. A lot of people here have mentioned how versatile she is and I have to agree! This girl is timeless!
Her hair looks really cute in pigtails, too!
I had intended to use #21 as a sister for #38, but after getting overwhelmed by dollies and underwhelmed by this one in particular #21 went to live with another board member. I think I would have liked her better with her pincurls.

At the AG store today I got a very good look at this doll. She was out of the case and I was able to pick her up and look carefully at her hair. I was struck by the beauty and unusual-ness of its color, which few pics can capture. Of all of the pics in this review thread the picture that I've copied below is the closest to the shade. It is so very unique. I would give her a very high rating! She is quite darling, but what you can do with her hair is quite limited IMO. She's great for me, since I have so many dolls, but if I only had one or two I wouldn't recommend her due to that. *locked album link removed* Mod edit to remove duplicate image

I got Lydia on December 29 to be my 1770s girl. I love how she has pincurls and a center part. She's perfect for the time period. I noticed that her body is really squishy, like a PM doll, which I like. She's not as wide as them, but as soft as them.
I also have Mia, who also has hazel eyes, and I noticed that Lydia's eyes are darker, and they look really dark and almost brown in some pictures.
Their hair colors are also pretty similar, but you can tell Mia's is more red and Lydia's is more blond. Sorry for the weird lighting on this one, but you can kind of see.

I love my precious 21! In my opinion, she's a really underrated doll. AG's stock photos really do not do her justice. I wanted her for years, then finally got her on Christmas 2014. A lot of 21's do not appeal to me, but I think I got a great one Her hair is great! It's not hard to take care of at all, despite what others say. I've had her and styled her hair quite a bit for 2 years, and it's still almost as good as new. All you have to do to take care of it is brush each curl out, then re-curl it with your fingers. it's extremely soft and has lots of pretty highlights of blonde and red. She has pin curls like Felicity. I think they are cute and they don't bother me. Her hair can be styled in smaller curls or larger ones. I prefer the larger ones. Her hair came in pigtails, and I left them in for quite awhile, yet they did not kink her hair. It is extremely good quality. Her hair can be styled in braids, ponytails and buns. My favorite hairstyle on her is a high bun. It's adorable! Her eyes are hazelish, but in some lighting, they appear brown. I've actually had some people ask me if she was a custom doll! I love my Megan so much, and she is definitely my favorite doll in my collection. Mine also has light freckles that I painted on with watercolors. Here are a couple photos: A recent Christmas photo of Megan with a bun in her hair. Megan in Maryellen's strawberry dress. She looks adorable in historical clothing as well!
