GRADE: A+This is by far my favorite AGT!! Even though AGT #15 was my first Today girl back in 1997, I came across #11 at a yard sale in 2004, and she knocked me over. Her shiny black hair is so pretty, and the style suits her facial features. A lot of people don;t care for Addy's face mold, but I happen to think it is the best mold they have. I may also be biased in that this mold depicts what most of my family members faces are shaped like. Especially the cheek and forehead area. I have all versions of this doll, too. I have the 1st issue, two Mattel issues(one on the way), and a PM issue from 1998. Most of my girls have been rewigged. Here are a couple of pics: PM #11-rewigged(far left), 1st issue #11(2nd from left), Mattel(yard sale) #11(in red AG sweatshirt)

#11 is a very pretty doll. A notation that she would only be available "until supplies last" was added under her photo on the AG website in Fall 2008, and she was pulled from the site as of October 1, 2009. This is Mercedes Rae, aka Traveling Sadie, who originally lived with DivabyDesign. She is a first issue #11. She is a brown-eyed, medium-complected doll with non-textured black hair and the "Addy" face mold. I particularly liked her for the variety she offered among dolls with that mold due to her hair texture, and for her glowing skin tone. #11 has the iconic aka infamous thick, triangular, no-part bangs that the earliest AG dolls were known for. When AG revised that style of wig back in Fall 2008, the company did not change #11's hair. Despite the pie-wedge bangs she has many of versatile looks, as illustrated by the photos in this thread from her travels. Looks cute with glasses, too. Sadie has had her share of adventures. Here she is ice fishing in Alaska: Eating grilled cheese in Wisconsin: Dressed up for spring in Tennessee: And hugging a giant Peep. Or wrestling with it. I'm not really sure. But you can see how pretty her facial coloring is here: And, here: Sadie with one of Divabydesign's rewigged JLY11s, Destiny. Two medium-complected dolls here, Sadie and a JLY-2. (Also, dollie foodstuffs.) As a doll-sized chess piece, wearing the wire-frame lilac glasses: Holding back the Red River in Winnipeg: Visiting La Pirámide de El Cerrito in Queretaro, Mexico: With Marilyn in Hollywood (Sadie is way prettier): And visiting Laguna Beach: Many thanks to Sail Away, DivabyDesign, Sproutsmom, AmericanGirlRescue, JeanieD, Priscilla, and Only1Genevieve for some of the photos used herein.

My #11 arrived this morning. I think she has such a sweet and pretty face with just the right amount of roundness and softness.
The meet outfit is cute without being spectacular. The leggings seem rather skimpy in the seat area: each time I sit the doll down, her pants and leggings need pulling up over her butt again afterwards.
No loose limbs here!
I was going to call her Sabrina but now that she's here I think she's more of an Eliza. We shall have to see... She is standing here next to the screen of my laptop and each time I look up I could swear she is about to say something. (Georgia, my #26 often gives the same impression. I wonder if it's something about this face mold? )
I wouldn't dream of giving her anything less than an A+

I went to AGB-B in Natick, MA and I was planning on getting #19, but one look at #11 and she called to me so I got #11 and her name is Lori- Anne. She is such a pretty girl.

I love this doll! She's got such lovely, shiny, soft hair. I love the Addy face mold on her with the hair texture and style... makes her unique. Mine is from around the transition era, I believe, because she has a few PM features and a few more modern features. Her skin tone is really pretty... a little cooler than my #26 from 2009 or my Marisol. Give her an A+. Mine is named Amira Regina Santorelli, and she's half Italian and Turkish. I got my JLY 11, Angelique on February 22, 2011. How I got her is kind of interesting. I actually got her because of this thread. I never noticed this doll until I looked at the reviews on here. I got her new from Ebay, and she was wearing the I Like Your Style Outfit. I was really surprised at the amazing quality of her hair. It's the most silky hair I've ever seen, and it's very thick. Mine has very little, if any, layers, which made me happy. Her hair also has a little flip on the end, but not as big as 23's. I was scared that her skin would be too light, but it's perfect. She's a little lighter than Kaya. Like another member said above, she's very versatile. She can wear almost any style. Overall, I'm extremely happy with her. I would give her an A+! I got my pm #11 from a board member, after falling in love with pics of hers! I have to say she very quickly became my favorite doll. Her skin tone is lovely and soft. Her hair is the best I have seen on any of our AG dolls. It is very thick and silky. She has the sweetest expression on her face, and big beautiful brown eyes. I give her an A+++ Some pics of my Lilo:

Oh, I would be happy to share pics of my very favorite girl, Lilo! Although, they don't do her justice...there is just something so sweet about her in person. If you can find one, I would say go for it. Her hair is so thick and luscious. Had enough yet?! I could do this all day!

My sweet #11 came from eBay. My DD and I love the Addy face face mold we have several girls with her mold but this is the first in a medium skin tone. She has beautiful silky black hair that reminds me of my Mattel #4 girl's hair both in color and texture. There are no small hairs at the wig cap. The length comes to her waist/elbow. She has beautiful deep brown pinwheel eyes. She was a girl that I admired from your reviews and I knew I wanted her. She is a gorgeous girl, I highly recommend her. Here are some pics of her. She hasn't been named yet. I haven't found one I think that is worthy of her. She just came today. By the way, I can't believe AG retired her! Such a shame! Grab her if you can.

This doll is very gorgeous. When she first came out back in 1995, my sister and I loved her. In fact, we stared at the catalog for years, and my sister even "named" her "Lauren Elizabeth". Well, there wasn't money to buy her back then . . . and the years passed. Then, just this year (2018), my Mom found one for me on eBay! I couldn't believe it! So, Lauren Elizabeth came to our house. She had the "2008" part number body tag, but still the softer vinyl of the old dolls. She hasn't got the rounder face of the first #11s, so she really looks like she is from the 1998-2001 period. Her tone is on the very pale side, and her wig is SUPER thick and full! She's totally amazing! Here she is with my Trudy (#58): Here she is with Nanea: And more photos of her from different angles:

My Charlie is one of my favorite finds! I rescued her at a doll show a couple of years ago and thought I would add my thoughts to this thread. Compared to Addy, Annalise (my #26) and Kitty (my #58) she stands out with her bangs and her unique combo of medium skin and black hair. She has such a kind, caring expression. The Addy face mold in my opinion gives her a tomboyish look which is why I choose the name Charlie for her. I wish American Girl offered more dolls like my Charlie, dolls that are unique and stand out in a group of dolls! I give her a solid A+ and if you ever find an #11 grab her! You won't regret it!
