I had a friend who thought that this set had a homemade quality because the sweater is a thin felt like material, with little silver snowflake decals stuck on it. I like the homemade quality of this. My opinion is that this set is adorabe, I love the antlers. They are huge, and have tiny bells on the edges (My Coconut hates wearing them though, but what dog actually does like wearing antlers at Christmas time?). The snowman she holds in her mouth is painted very well, I love the face. The stocking matcher's Coco's sweater and comes with a plastic candy cane, that Coco can't hold in her mouth. If you can find this on ebay, it's a very fun set to have. Grade: A

Coconuts Christmas Accessories GDH $14
Santa has a fluffy new reindeer! Coconut looks cute for Christmas in a snowflake sweater vest and soft reindeer antlers. Fill her snowflake stocking with a pretend rawhide candy cane and a snowman chew toy.
We do have this now -- got it in December 2010, but I haven't taken any photos so we're stuck with these for now.
This is so cute! Our Coconut and Licorice share the outfit with one wearing the sweater vest and the other wearing the antlers. They each hold one goodie in their mouths. The candy cane is magnetic (the previous poster says it isn't); the magnet is just imbedded inside the toy and is not visible from the outside. It's really cute with the Best Friends Holiday Set from 2005 as well and I'll try to remember to take photos next Christmas season.
ETA: okay it's Christmas 2012 -- here is Licorice wearing this set: She loves it!
Coconut looks very festive wearing this number, don't you think?
There are several parts to this set, beginning with the antlers and sweater worn by Coconut. The antlers are made of a semi-flexible headband (it might be felt-covered plastic), which can stay on Coconuts head thanks to an elastic strap that goes under the chin. The antlers themselves are also made of thick brown felt, stitched along the edges and adorned with two little silver jingle bells on each side.
The sweater is a lovely shade of maroon, made of thick, soft fleece. The style is more like a cape, with a fancy gemstone closure. The edges of the fleece are stitched, and there is a separate collar piece, made of sparkly fuzzy fabric (maroon with some silver threads) on the outside and lined with a satiny material on the inside. The outside of the cape is also adorned with a smattering of foil "snowflakes" (shaped more like asterisks), sewn down in their centers with little red beads. There's an American Girl tag on the inside with washing instructions (hand wash separately in cold water, line dry). Here are some photos of the outside, inside, and as it looks from different angles when worn by Coconut.
In addition to the pieces worn by Coconut, the set comes with a stocking and two toys.
The stocking is made of the same maroon fleece as Coconut's cape. It also has seven of the foil "snowflakes" decorating one side, and the other side is the plain fleece. The stocking has a cuff made of the same sparkly fuzzy fabric as the collar of the cape, and that cuff goes all the way around and can be unrolled. I didn't see a loop to hang the stocking with, but I did see an AG tag on the inside of it, just like the one on the cape.
The candy cane is made of hard plastic which sounds hollow when you tap it. I can confirm it has a magnet on the inside, although I don't think it's very strong. The little snowman is a squishy rubber (kind of like mini marshmallows), and it has a visible magnet on the back. This magnet seems a bit stronger. Both of these toys fit very easily in the stocking with plenty of room to spare.
Overall, I think this set is very cute! I think it would make a fun and festive addition to a holiday display ... I just wish I'd remember to pull it out before the holidays are over!
Here are some bonus pics of Melody's dog, Bo, and Joss's dog, Murph, getting all dressed up. The antlers are a little loose on Bo, but fit Murph just fine, and the cape works well on both!
Measurements for reference:
The antlers extend 3 inches up from the headband and are each 2 inches wide. I don't have any Wellie Wishers, but these look like they would fit them.
Coconut's sweater/cape measures 5.5 inches wide when laid flat, and 6 inches long from the throat to the end of the cape. From the back of the next to the end of the cape, it's 3 inches long. 1 inch of that is taken up by the collar piece. The foil embellishments each have a diameter of about 5/8 inches.
The stocking is about 3 inches long (when cuffed) and 3 inches wide at the foot.
The candy cane is 2.75 inches long and just over 0.25 inches in diameter. The little snowman is just under 2 inches tall.
