The heart shaped waffles, the 3 strawberries and the pink bowl of whipped cream are stuck to the white plate in that set. You might be able to remove them, The waffles would all be one clump if you do, and the edge of one waffle is attached to the strawberries which are also in a clump. With an exacto type knife the waffles and strawberries can be detached from each other without hurting the way they look, but the waffles cannot be separated without sacrificing some since they are not all whole. The whipped cream is glued to the bowl.

I have the set and love it. I want to buy one more for a second doll and think it will make for a great Valentine's Day Scene. Although disappointed that the items are stuck to the plate, this does prevent any from getting lost or misplaced which can so easily happen. I think the set is worth the money because there are lots of items that come with it. It is so much cuter in hand.

Yes, the pieces are stuck together but boy-oh-boy is this set cute!! I adore the syrup container and the heart shaped waffles. I plan to get it next month if my budget permits, even though I think $28 is way too much.

This set is so cute.. the people in the table next to us today had it and when DD& I admired it we got into a conversation with them.
They were really glad that the food was stuck to the plate. Huh? A different viewpoint than I'm used to here! But they thought that this way they wouldn't lose the food. So maybe AG is also trying to limit the 'lost the food, need a replacement' side of things. Anyway, that was a new & interesting thought to me.

Yesterday at AG-Natick, JustMagicMaria and I were investigating this set. All of the food is attached to the plate.
The items are not attached to the tray.
FYI.

The syrup container is the best! It looks really real. I wish the frame was natural wood and not bright pink though. TOO MUCH PINK!!

From the AG site: Breakfast in Bed Set for DollsItem# T6585 She can surprise her doll with a special treat—breakfast in bed! This set includes: A pink serving tray with legs that fold out so dolls can enjoy a delicious breakfast A plate topped with faux heart-shaped waffles, strawberries, and whipped cream A pretend glass of milk to quench her thirst A pretend smoothie topped with a berry A cloth napkin with an embroidered heart A make-believe syrup bottle and a metal fork A note tucked inside an envelope to brighten her day $28Despite my reservations about getting a set with the majority of its pieces all glued to a plate, I decided to go ahead and order this one. It's quite cute! Tray: The tray is hot pink plastic with legs that fold for storage. It seems to be really sturdy and is made of thick plastic. The color in the first photo is accurate. I'm not sure why it looks different in the second two. A+ Plate: Everything is stuck to it, but the details for the food is really nice. The waffles have brown and light areas just like real waffles would. The strawberries are also detailed, but not as much as the waffles. Everything is thick plastic. If the pieces were separate, this would get an A+. As is, I would have given it a C, but the detail is nice enough to bump it up to a B+. Milk: Very cute. The milk actually looks like it is in the glass. Nice, thick plastic. A Smoothie: Also cute and nice quality plastic. A Napkin: Nice quality fabric. I am so happy this is not paper! It says on the site that it's fabric, but I didn't notice that, so it was a nice surprise. A Fork: Metal! That alone makes me very happy! It's not flimsy either! A+ for cuteness and metal Syrup: Gasp! I love this! It was about 80% of why I purchased this set, and I'm not disappointed with it. It's all plastic, but again, nice quality plastic. Looks very realistic. A+ Note: Paper envelope, lightweight cardboard note. It is what it is. A- Overall, I give the set an A. I still wish the pieces weren't stuck together, but I do think it's nice even at the hefty $28 price tag.

Aaryana's review is pretty thorough and pretty much covers the pluses and minuses with this set. I was also hesitant to buy it (because of the food being stuck to the plate) but I'm glad that I did. I think this set is worth the $28. It's a unique set and everything is very cute and substantial. I recommend it, especially for modern collectors. I received this set today with my order and I like it better than I thought I would. The waffles are very detailed so I actually don't mind them as much being stuck to the plate like they are. The accessory pieces - i.e., syrup dispenser, smoothie, etc. - are very cute and the set as a whole I think is worth the $28. I think it will be perfect for my DD and her collection.

Just wanted to add a comparison photo with an 18" doll. Kanani with breakfast in bed I absolutely love small food, stuck to the plate or not. We had to get this. I really like the fact that the food is NOT stuck to the tray and you can use the tray for many other activities that your doll may need a tray for: school work, crafts, snacks. It's great and very sturdy. The tray itself is worth the price.

I bought this set (minus the fork) on Cyber Monday for $13. I love it. The little waffles are too cute! I do wish they weren't attached to the plate, but at least they won't get lost this way. My Stella has been enjoying her breakfast in bed nearly every morning since this arrived. Grade: A

For those who bought this set on CyberMonday, as i did, it is absolutely worth it and and more at $13! And I'm glad that food is stuck to the plate. I had one of these that was given to me when they first came out, but couldn't really use just one. I ordered two of them during the sale, and they make cute tray tables for my dolls while they are sitting on the floor playing. No fork with the set, but some cocktail forks from a set at Party City does just fine. One of the highlights of this year's CM sale, IMO.
