I'll leave the photography to someone with talent.
Overall I give mini K 25th anniversary edition an A-.
The outfit is adorable. And attention to detail is surprising. The tiny ribbons on her braids are perfect replicas and quite detailed. The design of the waist band is not as crisp as the original but still very nice. The skirt and shirt are *not* separate. They are sewn together which I think in the end helps make the outfit fit properly. The scale is so small, I don't know if it would have worked as two pieces. The tiny cut out at the collar is there, no button, but still amazed they went to that trouble.
K's hair is much different from what I expected. I haven't seen later minis so I have no comparison to know if this is normal. She has two tone hair, two very similar shades of blond but clearly two shades. Her part really shows it off. I like it, but for some reason it seems less Kirsten to not have her normal ashen locks.
I'm glad I bought her, I was sorely let down by the idea in January, glad to be wrong!
The color of her hair is exactly like my recent mini Kirsten with the different toned streaks. I'm in love with the sweet bows, but want to note that they are not tied around the braid. They are actually bows that are attached to the clear bands holding the braids at the bottom. I suspect if you take out the braids the bands will break and you will be left with a bow with no way to re-attach it without your own thread.
The pantaloons and socks are identical to the current regular mini. The red boots are the same as the regular's boots, only red on top with black laces instead of brown all over.
Here's my pic with my glass-eyed Kirsten and a current mini Kirsten:

She's so cute! Her outfit is all one piece but it looks like two pieces. It's plain cotton with ribbon trim on the skirt. It's not as well made as Norwegian souvenir doll's skirt but it's pretty. She has tiny pantalettes trimmed in tiny eyelet, tiny striped "meet" socks and the most adorable red boots. Her boots are soft, like big Kirsten's Meet boots and the laces look like they'll untie easily. Her ribbons are normal-sized and look a bit big on such a small doll. You can't untie them and make her braids loop and if you try to loop her braids the ribbons won't show right.
I handpicked my mini Kirsten to make sure her bangs weren't too foofy. Even so, they stick up a bit but I smoothed some of the fly-aways with water. I think over time her hair could be tamed.
I think she's really cute and I give her an A.
