Let me say right off that this is my absolute favorite modern holiday outfit to date. I also got mine when it was first released so you had to buy the accessories (like the Star of David necklace) separately. I dunno if they changed that in later years or what but I see it sold on eBay with the accessories a lot, as if they were packaged together later on. The sweater is my favorite part. I'm terrible with fabric names, but the catalogue description called it angora. It's the softest piece of doll clothing in my collection. As such you have to be really careful about the velcro on the back catching on it, but it's not that difficult. There are little rhinestones on the front that catch light nicely. I put it on dolls with blue jeans for a nice wintery effect. The skirt is a gorgeous deep blue velour with an elastic waistband. I've never tried mixing it with other pieces, but as long as you paired it with something neutral I bet it would look great. I'm not sure if these are the tights meant to go with the outfit - I have white tights all over the place due to having Samantha, so they could be hers. I'm not a fan of the white tights blending in with the white shoes, but the shoes mix and match really well with other outfits so I'm not complaining. The headband could work just as well as a ponytail elastic if you wanted. It's got silver mixed in with it to match with the rhinestones. Overall I'd definitely give this outfit an A. It's super soft and relatively easy to match with other bits of doll clothing. And one last photo, with a better view of the headband:

I just bought this outfit in an eBay auction and really love it. It is a testament to the quality product that PC produced that this is such a finely textured and "rich" outfit. The angora of the sweater is so super soft that I want one for myself. The velvet elastic waisted skirt is weighty and thick. This is not a cheaply made outfit. Unfortunately I didn't get this outfit with the shoes or headband (that's eBay for ya!) but I think the silver shoes from last Christmas' PWP outfit and a pair of tights will do the trick. I give this outfit an A+ just on quality alone.

I never had this, but my best friend did, and I remember how absolutely gorgeous it was and how good it felt--and I saw it not too long ago in her room still looking nice, so it seems that it stands up to hard play quite well.

Just received this from ebay the other day, and I'm pretty much in love! I had wanted this set for so long, and it was worth the wait. I didn't get the headband or shoes, but I tied Wendy's hair back with blue and white ribbons and put black Mary Janes on her, and it looks sweet. The sweater is beautiful with the little rhinestones. It's soft and seems like something you would really buy at a department store to wear to a holiday party. It seems a little short to me, but that's a minor complaint. The skirt is fantastic. It's a rich and gorgeous shade of blue, and the velvet material is thick and very nice. The shape of the skirt if perfect for a little girl too. I could just see Wendy twirling around so it would bell out around her. Definitely my favorite modern holiday outfit. A+Wendy Spam Pics:

I have my Lindsey in the outfit and she looks just perfect. The blue in the skirt really comes out with that deep royal blue of skirt. I don't care for the headband. The tights could have been dressier,; they are a loose knit, good quality, but more something to wear to school than for festive wear, but different and more substantial than the usual tights one gets. I did not get a necklace with the outfit either. I give the outfit an A without the head band. A more substantial one and rhinestones on the shoes which are just plain cream would have given it an A+. I didn't take off for the tights even though they are not festive because of the quality and the additional versatility they have, not being dressy. The outfit stands out beautifully among my girls' in the red, green and blacks.

I think I might be the lone voice of dissent regarding this outfit. I had admired it for years based on member photos, but when I finally got one I was disappointed. I thought the circle skirt was too short. I also thought the sweater was terribly boxy and short-waisted and would have liked it to be at least another inch longer.
I really wanted to like this outfit because the color is stunning and it's so different from other AG offerings. However, I was disappointed enough that I quickly resold it. Fortunately the person I passed the outfit along to seems to like it and I'll continue to enjoy other member photos!
Nice outfit concept, but lacking in execution; my grade is a B-.

My Lindsey just got this the other day and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it, especially on her. A+++ It brings out her blue eyes. It's a very simple outfit, something a young girl would wear.
