Dockside Outfit $22 GBOK Grade: B I like this outfit I really do. I waited a long time to get it at a reasonable price. It is really quite cute. I love the stripped skort and the way it snaps off to one side. It had a Velcro closure under the flap in the front. I like the woven pull over top. That's right, pull over. With to much usage I can see it getting stretched out. A little difficult to get on because doll arms don't bend. It has a small boat button attached to the left front of the top. I really like the sneakers with their thick laces and multi-colouring. Adorable!

Everything about this outfit is great, with the exception of having to fight to get the top on. I have to agree with Johanna that if used quite often this top could get stretched out. This was a b-day from my best friend years ago, and I must say it was a wonderful choice on his part. A+.

I must third the opinion that the top gets stretched out over time; you can see how wide the neckline is in my photo below. Some of that is because it is in fact a hooded sweatshirt, and those always seem to pull in the neck. One can always add a cami beneath the top for more coverage if the doll is showing too much, er, skin. This remains one of my favorite outfits because even stretched out, the whole ensemble has a crisp, clean look to it. The top has a waffle-weave which I really like. Plus, I like yellow. AG doesn't make enough yellow stuff. You can see the little sailboat button a tad better in this next photo. (Doll is also adorned with grin pins; ignore those, please). This item gets an A- from me because of the stretching issue. That is offset by the cheery skort, adorable but dorky sailor's hat, and the awesome shoes, all of which raise the grade.

Got this outfit in 2002, methinks, and I think it's very cute and is one of the pastel sets Amanda can actually look good in! The hoodie - as you can tell from the pictures, the hoodie is a pale yellow, waffle-knit top that pulls on over the doll's head. Now I have a chubby PM doll and I haven't found the shirt to have stretched too much. Sure the neckline is v-necked, but you aren't supposed to pull it down to the doll's tummy, you just have to position it. The hood is edged in ribbed fabric and doesn't really fit the doll's head, and you can see the inner seam, which is the only thing I don't like about this piece. The sailboat button is so cute! AThe skort - is love. It is a real skort, not a scooter, so you can see the shorts behind. It velcros at the fly and then another panel of fabric covers it and snaps to the side. I love the sunny yellow, pink, blue and green fabric they chose! It looks so nautical, somehow, and very comfortable to wear. A+The sneakers - these are the only real sneakers Amanda has, and so they go with jeans, too. They are real canvas high-tops, with a thick heavy-duty rubber sole and the AGoT logo on the bottom. I love the real shoelaces with aglets! I'm so glad these were included, although I doubt it would be easy to find shoes that match your outfit so perfectly. AThe hat - this is so cute! Not only does it look darling with this set, but we've also paired it with Kit's beach PJs. It is also made of thick...maybe canvas? You can fold the brim up all the way around or leave it down in the back. It fits the doll's head well and doesn't look too odd with bangs, either. A

I love everything about this outfit. The pullover hoodie is a pretty shade of yellow (I put the lime green t-shirt from the artist outfit under it because the neck is a little low) , the striped skort fits the dolls well and looks really fresh and crisp and, the best part of the whole outfit? THE SHOES! This is my very favorite pair of AG shoes that I own, they're what drew me to the whole outfit. I got the outfit second hand as a gift from a boardmember and it doesn't have the hat but that doesn't distract from the overall wonderfulness of the rest of the outfit. It's one of my very favorite summer outfits and I give it an A.

I wanted to share a photo of this outfit on my Bitty. It fits her perfectly and I think the pastel colors and sailor hat work great for a baby!
