Grade: A+
This is another classic outfit Charlotte loves to wear.
The overalls are cute and versatile - with a cute little save the lions patch. They also look great on Mia (an Our New Baby) and fit like they were made for the 16" baby dollies. It's good for mix and match, too. Charlotte likes to wear it with the Yoga tank or the white 1995 AGOT Meet T-Shirt.
The tie dye shirt is nice, thick cotton and is great for mix and match as well.
My favorite part is the Dolly Birkenstocks! They are cute on display, but they don't stay on worth anything if you are carrying the doll around though. I think the recycling logo on the bottom is adorable, too.

Earth Day Outfit Grade: A The Good: These early outfits were all about versatility. This outfit is an outfit I could easily see myself wearing at ten years old. The details make it perfect, things like Birkenstocks, which were sooo popular when it was released, the clasps on the overall, working pockets, and the little patch to dress up the overalls. The Bad: Not much! The shoes fall off a lot, but that's to be expected, I suppose. Also, the "stick" clasp for the ponytail holder was soft plastic and has become bent over the years. Finally, and this is nitpicky, the "Save the Lions" patch has a picture of a tiger on it, not a lion!

I love this outfit, except the shoes don't stay on at all. When I was 11 (in 1996), Marjorie and I would dress as twins, because I totally had a tie-dyed shirt, shortalls, and tan birks. LOL.

This is one of my few authentic AG outfits, and I absolutely love it. I originally bought it for the tie-dye shirt, but ended up loving the shortalls more.
The shortalls are incredibly detailed: all the pockets are working pockets, and the buckles are adjustable length just like on real pants. There are two little velcro patches on the side to help the doll get in and out, and they're basically fuss-free and in positions that are not likely to get your doll's hair stuck. Furthermore, these shortalls work great with other shirts; my Rain wears them with a light blue tee, which gives off a different feel from the tie-dye tee but looks perfect on her.
The shirt is very nicely tie-dyed and authentic-looking. It, too, works with other things such as shorts and skirts.
I received the outfit without the barrette, so I don't know how that works.
The only thing that bugged me about this outfit was the shoes. Sure, they are incredibly detailed and lovely when you leave your doll on display, but every time I tried to pick up my doll, they would fall off. And they fit my doll's feet differently when adjusted to the same buckle. The real adjustable buckle is quite handy and really detailed, but it just didn't work for me no matter how I adjusted them, so I ended up selling the shoes.
Overall, I would give this outfit an A.

This is another one of those outfits that I thought was nice in concept but iffy on execution. The overalls and shirt are fabulous, but why junk that up with a weird nonsensical patch? And AG clearly hadn't mastered the art of making shoes to stay on doll feet; these shoes, twee as they are, are impossible. Still, the quality is great and it's a fun set to pull out each summer, so it gets a B+ from me.

I'm another one who just LOVES this outfit. It definitely looks like something I would've worn constantly when I was 10 or 11. I bought mine third-hand and, sadly, it didn't come with the super-adorable but not-very-practical faux Birkenstocks, which I covet despite the lack of helpful clear back strap. But the tie-dye shirt and overalls fit all my girls so comfortably, from plump PM Julian to skinny Rebecca, and the hair accessory is my favorite one that AG has ever made, I think. Julian puts up a fight whenever anyone wants to borrow it, because it holds her thick, straight hair back perfectly.

The dye in the shirt ran on me. :-( They didn't set the dye very well! Other than that, this is one of my favorite modern outfits.

This is one of my favorite outfits, but I'm a sucker for overalls! I love the hair clip and wish they used that style more often. Especially for Julie! I've come upon 3 pairs of the overalls for this set, all from the secondary market. I found it interesting that one pair is much darker than the others. Everything else is exactly the same. I'm not sure if it's just a different dye lot or a gray market item.

Very cute outfit. I picked it up on eBay, and while it did come with the hair accessory, it only came with one shoe. Shirt and overalls fit my plump PM #4 Jessa just fine. Jess loves the shirt so much, she says she may live in it from now on. Great for Julie and both male and female modern dolls.

I only own the shirt from this outfit (purchased from another board member). I love tie-dye, so naturally I had to at least have the shirt. It's everything I had hoped that it would be! Grade: A+ At the moment, this is the only decent picture I have. Lily is modeling the shirt in the middle:
