Soccer Gear $24 GSOD Grade: A I haven't seen any of the other soccer sets, but I really like this one. Sorry that this image looks a little washed out.  This set also comes with a soccer ball, bag, and towel.  The cleats are black with yellow and purple. There were black knee socks and shin pads with elastic underneath.  Overall the fabric doesn't seem to pull and wears well. I like the colours and think it really is a realistic looking set. |

We got this set a year after it came out. It survived a ton of play, and still looks good, no tears or anything broken! Here is Josefina wearing it. She has just scored a goal, not unusual because she has been the team's leading goal scorer for a very long time!  Ours did not come with a towel, but it came with this scrunchie. It is my favorite part of the outfit.  Also the bottom of the shoe has the original AGOT logo stamped into the shoe.  Have to give this set an A for realism, lots of parts, and holding up well. Plus it is just pretty cute! |

My mom and I think my sister got her AGOT soccer gear set in 1996 or 1997. Her jersey has yellow velcro. I just purchased the set from a board member and the jersey has snaps instead of velcro.
Anyone here know if the velcro set is older than the snap set?

I have nver seen this set with snaps, it has always had velcro. I wonder if the velcro was taken off and replaced with the snaps.

We bought this outfit when it first came out, and it had velcro. I am thinking the same thing as askmkids, because I have a hard time picturing AG making this jersey with snaps.

Here is a picture of it. I did look for holes where the velcro would have been sewn on and did not see any evidence of it. If someone did indeed take off the velcro and replace it with snaps they did a superb job.  AGOT Yellow Soccer Jersey with snaps by kgabor19, on Flickr |

The one I had closed with snaps just like kgabor19's does, no sign of velcro having been on it previously. I did get it used, but it didn't look as if it had been altered. The tag didn't have a year on it so I think it must have been a later set. Maybe they got a lot of snagging complaints and changed it?

My twins each have that outfit and one has snaps and one has velcro. The one with snaps has no sign it ever had velcro, and it is in perfect condition since there are no velcro snags. It came with DDs eBay Samantha.
