I totally LOVE this dress! So Much when I saw it in the store I knew I had to buy two!! It is a lovely shade of turquise. The sleaves are like the ballerina sleaves on Bitty Baby's Ballerina outfit. It has a fine mesh tule under the soft velour ruffle sleave. The bodice is all the same turquise velour. with a sequined velour sash, that is quite well made. Doesnt look like the sequins are going anywhere anytime soon. The skirt is printed velour of the same shade of turquise. The print is like a palm leaf? design. and in velour when i say printed that means there are sections of the velour that are not soft but sheer as though the velvet was worn away in that design. the shoes are great! extremely trendy silver sandles. with two sequins on the top. Since it is a LE dress I am glad I bought two!!! Because this goes great with Blue Eyed girls..

My DD picked this outfit out at the DC store and paid for it with her own money. This is high praise as she wasn't planning on getting this but loved it when she saw it in the store (she was also picky about what she spent her money on). The best part about this outfit without a doubt are the sandals - they're FABULOUS. This outfit overall is very nice and I recommend it. The headband I'm pretty sure is leather and wraps completey around (not those stick on type headbands). My DD commonly uses it as a belt with other outfits. The shoes are very strappy and have sequins on one of the straps (the center one). The dress has a nice feel and weight to it (not thin) and overall it's very flattering on dolls like Kanani, #55, etc.

I purchased the party outfit at AG Atlanta. The dress is a rayon velveteen in a beautiful shade of turquoise blue. The color in the catalog is very accurate. The waist band has silver embroidery with small turquoise metallic sequins securely attached with clear thread. The sequins are on the front of the waistband only. The skirt is the same turqoise velveteen but has a burn out pattern matching the silver embroidery. The sleeves are a cap flutter with an underlay of soft tulle netting which is also along the hem of the skirt. The sandals are the trendy "gladiator" style in silver with two sequins which match the dress. The head band is made from the same silver material as the sandals. Overall I am very happy with this outfit, very pretty and I really like the fact that much like the older historical outfits the dress is actually worn by Kanani in "Good Job, Kanani"

I like this outfit quite a bit. The fabric is really soft and I love the color. The shoes are adorable, and great for mixing and matching with other outfits. The headband is nice too. I tried it on the other way with Mia, but I like it better the way I have it below.

B+ Dress- Soft, colorful, and fits great! Only down side is the hem at the bottom of the dress the lace type stuff is flipped up in different directions. A-

Thanks for the pictures, SailorMolly! I had to order my DD's (for Christmas,) as they were sold out at AGPLA when we went in late September! I was planning on buying it, and the rest of the outfits of Kanani's while we were there, but fortunately, with the free shipping, I was able to order it before it sells out. It is a gorgeous shade of turquoise, and feels so soft! I can hardly wait for DD to be able to dress her Kanani in it!

Well, Kanani finally got her first outfit from her collection. I love this dress, it is so beautiful. It reminds me of Disney and specifically the polynesian resort. *sigh* ( Dreams of taking Kanani to the Aloha dinner show at WDW). She looks stunning in this outfit and I am so glad I got it. Just beautiful. The Sandals are amazing, and I wish they came in my size! My Kanani doesn't stand very well in hers, but maybe its just this pair. The headband is cute as well, and is pretty easy to get on Kanani. Overall, A (no plus because of the sandals issue.)

I passed on this dress when Kanani was the GOTY and again when it was on sale. Should have gotten it them. Decided I wanted it for Lindsey or Mirielle Grayson for Hanukkah this year (Lindsey gets it) when I was able to grab it on Ebay for a price in between full market when it was new and sale price. It was NIB .
Right now I'm trying to let the wrinkles shake out It 's not as bright or as deep of a color as I had anticipated, and I did not notice the island theme in the subtle print in the skirt of the dress. I didn't get because it appeared "flat" to me, very 2 dimensional, and the effect is definitely that. I give it a C because it is so average. Had the color been a bit deeper, if it didn't have such a flat effect and if the skirt were a little fuller, I'd have given it a full grade higher.
It was a leftover from Kanani's stock, and I can see why. My niece who has Kanani and got the year she was released, did not want the dress. It just didn't excite her, in part because Kanani's meet outfit and PJs were already that color, and because the dress just didn't have the wow factor for her. The same goes for me.
