Betsy hand selected her #57, Cristina, at the Chicago store in October. This doll has been played with nearly every day since then and her hair still looks great. Here is a wig close up. I have not been able to find a trace of side bangs. Cristina 2 by JoniMakesStuff, on Flickr And here is Cristina modeling some outfits. She has (non AG) pierced ears and wears glasses, I think she makes a great modern girl. Donna, I can't tell....does yours have sidebangs? I know that she's SUPPOSED to have them, but as Jonilynn pointed out, her daughter Betsy's doll doesn't have any sidebangs at all! I really love this doll without the bangs!

Mine does have side bangs but they are so easy to comb in place. I am suprised that her daughter's doll doesn't have them. They are not real obvious. I think she is one of the prettiest dolls that AG Makes. I can see by the photo she doesn't. 57 comes with a hairnet so it would be reallly hard to tell if you bought her in person.

I saw this doll two weeks ago at an American Girl fashion show at a local museum. At first I did not know which doll she was -the little girl who was carrying her obviously picked her to be her mini me as the doll looked just like her. I finally realized which one she was and I must say I was taken aback by just how pretty this doll is. She was wearing the new Petals and Posies blue dress, which is also a lot prettier in person. That outfit comes with a beautiful blue barrette, which the little girl used to hold the side bang back so you really didn't see it. The mother had obviously done something to make the doll's hear look very full as opposed to slick and close to the head. She really is a brown-haired, brown eyed Kit. Very pretty.

Lucy has surpassed Ava, Harper, and even Lanie for the #1 spot on my favorites list. She is so adorably cute! I went to AGP St. Louis Grand Opening and fell in love with her. She has looked adorable in every outfit I've tried her in (that's a lot of outfits). Her hair is so silky and soft and her eyes are a really nice chocolaty brown. Her hair looked nice right out of the hairnet and I haven't even touched the brush to her hair yet. Lucy does have sidebangs, but they really aren't noticeable which is fine for me. One thing I noticed when comparing her with my other classic mold dolls is that her eyes aren't as round as the others. When comparing her to Jess, it was obvious that her eyes weren't almond shaped, at least not completely. I think it makes her even more unique and cute, though. She definitely has personality to spare!

Hope this helps a little, this is a picture of my Roxie (#57) in Kit's reporter outfit.......... Sorry, I don't have more but I seem to gravitate to the MYAG clothes for Roxie.

I took these on my phone, so they aren't great but you get the general idea. Betsy graciously let me borrow Cristina... the poor girl was accessorized within an inch of her life! I took off the scrunchies, the corn dog earrings, the glasses and the charm keeper necklace but I left the pearl bracelet since it's a ^%$ to get that thing back on. Kit's meet outfit... Ruthie's Christmas dress... Kit's Christmas dress... Emily's meet... Knock-off Molly's Victory Garden... Handmade Molly's Route 66... 57 is a totally underrated beauty if you ask me. I'd recommend hand picking her if you can since it's inconsistent as to whether or not she has side bangs. Betsy got Cristina in the Chicago store in October 2011 (right after 57 was released) and she has no side bangs whatsoever,

I was intrigued with this doll when she was first released, but did not care much for her when I saw her in person at the store in the displays and in her box. But my niece is beginning to look more and more like her, and when I saw her without her usual tan and now growing out her bangs, I realized that is now her mini me, rather than the #28 I got her 4 years ago. So when I went to the MCM sale, I decided to get one of these dolls as a memento of how she looks at age 10.
I picked through quite a few of these dolls, and there were quite a few left on Sunday of the sale, so my guess is that AG has had an overstock of these dolls. I wanted one with a heavy piece of the sideswept bangs, as there were a lot of these doll with hardly any bangs at all.
I don't know if I will give her up. I pulled back some of her longer hair on the side that has the sideswept bangs and stuck a barrette to keep the hair back there, emphasizing these bangs rather than blending them in with the rest of her hair, and she has a whole other look than any of the other AG dolls. She is adorable. I have to give this cutie a 10 out of 10 in cuteness, a new look and just looking like a sweet little girl. I put her in the Easy Breezy outfit which suits her . She'll be one of my younger aged dolls. I think a lot of Kit and Molly dresses are going to look so precious on her.

My 57 arrived on Friday, 1/3/2014. I think she is as cute as a button. Her bangs blend in with her hair. Here's a few photos: Wendy by JLP2000, on Flickr Wendy by JLP2000, on Flickr Wendy by JLP2000, on Flickr

I just picked up my #57 named Fern in Chicago a week ago and I have been smitten ever since. I had no intention of purchasing a new girl at the time, however when I laid eyes on her she basically adopted me. I love her sweet face. She seems to have a more delicate petite face that other classic mold girls somehow. She also appears to have a slightly almond shape to her eye, not as round as other classic mold girls. She also looks younger than other MyAG girls. My girl has a slight side bang which can be brushed into the side so they disappear but I actually prefer the look of the side bangs. She is very cute in hats and any kind of hair accessory. I know that some of my observations concerning her looks seem unlikely so it could either be an optical illusion from the hair cut and color combo, or she really does have some of the features that I have described. Regardless, she is easily one of my favorite girls.

I was able to see a number of my friend's TM dolls so I thought I'd review them. This doll is so cute. She just has a perfect little girl look. I think she works great in Kit's world.
