A+ What can I say about Kailey? First off, I absolutely adore her to pieces! She has a beautiful peachy complexion and very good face coloring. Her hair is blond with highlights and styled with a straight blunt cut in the back and 2 braids in front. I took the braids out of mine and have yet to accomplish rebraiding them the exact same way as when they were new. Her hair is silky and a bit thin- I think this is meant to help it lay smooth. Because it's so thin you can't style it in as many ways without her wig cap showing. But to me she is the most beautiful doll ever made. Who can resist her soulful brown eyes?

I love my Kailey! I have three favorite dolls. But she is my most favorite!!!! -hugs- My mom won her on ebay for me, her wig is a little thin in the back...but we're sending her in for a head replacement. Also her limbs are a LITTLE loose. But she can stand on her own. This is because she's from ebay. I'd give her an A+++++++ any day!!

I just received my Kailey from a second hand market this weekend. I do agree that her hair is quite thin. But I also think this might be so that it will lay correctly on her head. I had no problem re-braiding her hair to match her original style. What I like about her is that her limbs are not as hard nor as narrow as Jess's limbs seem to be. They're more rounded and thick like the older dolls. At least my Kailey's are. Also her limbs don't seem to be loose at all. I would give Kailey a B+ (only because of the thin wig does she not receive an A) Kailey after her make-over

My Kaileys wig is pretty thick. My only problem with my Kailey is on one eye the eyelashes retracted.

Kailey is cute, but not a favorite around here. My daughter got her for Christmas during the brief time she was interested in AG dolls. My daughter later told me that she didn't actually like Kailey; she only liked Kailey's dog and the fact that she was LE! Of course, we didn't get her the dog. Had I known, I'd have gotten the dog instead of the doll and saved some money, because now my daughter is in her teens, and Kailey is tucked away under the dresser.
As for the doll, I really like her hair. It doesn't appear to be super thin on the doll we have, and it's just so silky smooth and shiny. It has held up quite well, but the doll hasn't been played with much. I am not generally a huge fan of the blonde dolls, but I do like the fact that she has brown eyes. It's a nice combination. Her meet dress is cute (one of my favorites of the LE dolls), but the shoes are terrible and won't stay on her feet.
Overall, I'd say I like her, but she doesn't "wow" me.

My Kailey is so cute! I do have the problem with her wig, looking bald and being matted. I left her braids in for 2 years and when I undid them, it was all frizzy. I'm thinking about sending her to the Doll Hospital though, for a new head.

I just got Kailey, and I love her. My doll's hair is not too thin, but I am not sure about the extra thickness in the front though. You almost have to have her hair at least half up. All in all though I love her. Her hair is so silky, and has great lowlights!

I love Kailey. Her wig looks beautiful if left in the original braids, which is what I have done for the two or so years I've had her. I have yet to see a doll with the same gorgeous highlights as Kailey.

What does Kailey look like next to Julie? They seem pretty similar to me.... I love them both but Julie is much more affordable! I might buy her and use her as Kailey. ;D They look almost identical! Could they be twins? HELP!

Julie has a totally different face mold. Kailey looks more like a 12 or 24.

We LOVE Kailey around here... hence our user name! :-) She was my DD's first doll and still the favorite. We are actually considering buying a JLY doll to be Tess so she has a best friend like all of our other dolls. He hair is gorgeous and very easy to manage. I highly recommend her to both girls and collectors!

Kailey is a really nice doll - her hair usually has a nice crinkle in the front where the braid was originally. She is slightly bald, however, so I always just leave her hair down.

I ended up selling Kailey because of her baldness... I would post a picture in pigtails if I still had her. I get my blond/brown eyes coloring fix with my #24 (who I can actually do something with her hair).

I just received my Kailey from another board member and I am so glad I decided to get her. She's GORGEOUS! Yes, her hair is a bit thinner in back (no pigtails for this girl) but the glorious colour makes up for it - with long, soft, shiny highlighted hair like hers you want it keep it down so you can admire it anyway. I talked myself out of buying Kailey for the longest time and I'm glad I finally caved.

My Kailey has THE MOST thick wig I have ever seen. It's thicker than my friend's Kirsten, who, is not going bald anytime soon. I also bought Kailey on Ebay, and someone gave her the worst side bangs.

I had some of Kailey's things already, having bought Sandy when she was out for DD's Little Sister, and later picked up her bikini, snorkel set and camera from ebay to add to the swimwear collection shared by our JLYs. I resisted Kailey herself for quite a while before succumbing, after seeing just one too many enticing photos of her here at AGPT!! Having most of her stuff, might as well have the doll, I thought.... and thanks to Mrs Mac's LE price report, realised that it would be a good idea, if I was going to find my Kailey, to seek her out during the summer price 'slump'. I'm glad I saw sense, finally, lol. Kailey is such a lovely doll. Her meet dress is really pretty and nicely made. My Kailey didn't have her undies, but luckily a board member was selling a pair at just the right time and now she isn't draughty any more I love Kailey's silky, streaked hair. I haven't played alot with her hair (apart from giving her a mini Downy on arrival and then cautiously going over her hair with the low-heat straightener to fix some minor 'fluffies' and frizz) but it seems reasonably thick, thank goodness.

OK, I will admit Kailey is my least favorite LE...but then again, I am not a huge blonde fan...but I do really like Kailey. Her highlights/lowlights are amazing! It really makes me wonder why they don't do more color combos, the effect is stunning.
Her coloring is fabulous as well. I like her deep brown eyes as well.
Her hair is a bit thin, but not as bad as I feared. I do believe it is a function of making the hair lay correctly. It doesn't seem thin at all, when left in the original style...but if you start 'playng' with it at all, it does.

I ADORE my Kailey doll! She is so unique!! Her hair is CRAZY thick! The thickest I have ever seen. If you lift up the top few layers, you can see she has a pretty red-brown hair color underneath to accent her gorgeous highlights. Her brown eyes are adorable. I took out her braids and gave her a a pretty little side.

What are ways to tell Kailey from gT24? Kailey's really had no part in her hair at all; GT24 has a side part. Kailey's hair is sun-streaked in color and straight; GT24 is solid blonde and wavy. Kailey has no freckles; GT24 has freckles.

I got Kailey for Christmas. She's beautiful. I bought her from another board member. Her legs are a little loose because I got her used, but other than that, PERFECT quality. She's beautiful - I love her hairstyle and I don't want to take her meet style out. As another lover of the ocean and beach, it's great to have a doll who shares that!

I bought Kailey at a thrift store and to tell the truth she is the least favorite of my AGs. I guess it's because she is ANOTHER blonde and has straight hair (which I'm not fond of). But it may also be the horrible haircut that some little girl gave my doll. But still not wowed by her blonde/brown combo with this face mold (I really like Julie on the other hand even though I don't have her). Kailey is just kind of okay to me... B+

Kailey was my first doll, and she was purchased in February of 2004.
Overall, I give this doll an A. I love the subtle highlights in her hair; they add to the realism factor of the wig. My only complaint about her wig, however, is that it tends to be thinner in the back than in the front, and I'm assuming that is because of her braids. It doesn't really bother me much, though.
I also love her meet outfit, which I will give an A+. It fits well, and it is such a pretty color. It looks good on most any doll, particularly dolls with blue eyes or darker hair. My only complaint about the meet outfit are the shoes, which I'll give a B. They are adorable and very realistic; however, they do not stay on the dolls' feet. It would be nice if they had a clear elastic backing like many of the other recent doll sandals. I normally just fold up a piece of clear tape, stick it on the shoes, and slide the dolls feet in so that they will stay on my dolls.

I got my Kailey used from a relative, but she was kept in great condition! I really love and hate her hair. The color is beautiful and so realistic with the brown low lights! The braids are fine. They can be annoying to doing styles and stuff, but they're pretty, too. Now the one thing I really hate about her hair is how terrible the wig cap is. I hate seeing the cap underneath, so I mostly keep her hair down, which is fine because she looks good with her hair down.
My Kailey is also really thin in the torso. I have a Kit who is around the same age, and who is very chubby. But Kailey is very thin, but very soft and squishy. I cannot tell if her limbs are thicker than newer Mattel dolls.
Overall, I would give Kailey an A-. She's a great doll and I love her hair color with her eyes, but her wig is terrible, so I had to subtract some points.

I bought Kailey as a gift for one of my daughter's friends. I bought her used from ebay. The little girl thinks that Kailey is Julie after seeing Julie in one of my catalogs and I haven't corrected her. The hair and eye color is very simillar so the biggest differences are the hair style and the face mold. Kailey's lack of bangs or a part is unusual and if Kailey were part of my collection and I could keep the braids looking neat, it would be fine. The girl Kailey belongs to plays with her a lot and the braids either get messed up or taken down. I don't care for her hair without the braids. With that said, the braids are fairly simple to put back in. Her meet dress is really cute!
