I got Marisol's Performance Trunk secondhand, so it isn't complete, but I will review here what I have.
Here's the description from AG Playthings. I crossed out the pieces that are missing from this review.
Marisol’s Performance Trunk
Marisol really knows how to jazz things up! This trunk with a removable tray holds everything she needs to take her show on the road, including:
• Shimmery jazz top
• Jazz pants
• Jazz shoes
• Pink feather boa
• Purple feather boa
• Stick-on earrings
• 10 hair elastics
• 4 ponytail holders
• Ballet certificate
• Tap certificate
• Ballet poster
• Stickers to decorate the trunk
$48 GYAA discontinued 2005
Here is a picture of the trunk and the accessories that I have.
The Jazz Outfit is cute and well-made, and I love the colors and materials -- but what 10-year-old gets to dance on stage in a tight, skimpy, midriff top? Not my daughter, no way! So for the Jazz Outfit...
Quality: A
Design: F
The trunk itself is sturdy, and seems like it could stand up pretty well to traveling and play. Inside the trunk is lined with black velvety flocking, and it has a cute little mirror on the underside of the lid. It is pretty roomy, and Marisol could probably fit all of the outfits from her collection in it if I had to guess. (I don't have all of her outfits, however, so I could not try this out) The bottom of the trunk is divided into four sections (I tried to arrange the accessories inside so you could see where the divisions are), and there is a removable tray that sits on top. Personally, I would prefer if it didn't have the dividers on the bottom, because it limits the way you can use the space. The stickers and stick-on earrings are a cute touch.
Grade: A-
