This item does not take up a lot of room and is very realistic looking for its time. The chair is made of metal and vinyl/rubber for the seat. It fits the dolls well and really swivels and you can pretend to roll it but it does not have real wheels. The table/desk is made of heavy plastic and is not very fancy. It appears to be durable although I do not think it has the same PC quality as some of the other furniture does. As far as playability, it is one of my daughters' favorite things and they use it almost every day with their dolls. That could be due to the awesome little computer though that I will review in another thread. Overall Grade B.

I never really liked this much in the catalogue, but it's much cuter in person. I don't like the desk being plastic, but I can't think of how it'd be in another material, so I'll live. The chair, although cute, seems smallish, and doesn't fit newer dolls as well. As a PM item, I can understand that, so I don't worry so much. My Mattel dolls will use the laptop, as the PM dolls do sit much better on the chair. Grade: A

This piece seems more suitable for an office than a child's bedroom. B for being kind of ugly. It seems to hold up pretty well though.

The chair from this set is wonderfully heavy (bad for shipping, but good for stability). I always thought the desk was an odd design choice for a bedroom, but the purple top is cute enough. Don't clean it with rubbing alcohol, it'll take the purple off in a streaky way.

This set was originally designed for a school room, not a bedroom, so when you think of it in that context it fits better.
