I had to replace Liz's glasses after the pair she had for eight years (which I bought at a craft store) broke, and I also got a pair for Sebastian. I got the Lilac for Liz and the Rectangle for Sebastian.
Lilac - I mostly got these because they looked more silver on the site. I was afraid the purple would show up more when I got them to me, but they really are a nice pale-lilac silver shade, which surprisingly compliments most outfits (I was afraid they'd only look good with AGT or pastel outfits). If you are expecting something a bit more purple, then you may be disappointed, but I love the color. Also, unlike Liz's old glasses, these ones are fitted to "snap" into place, so they won't move and won't threaten to fall off (similar to Molly's new glasses design).
Glasses Case - Each AGT pair of glasses comes with a purple case, which unlike Molly's case/the historical glasses (the old tortoiseshell rounds, the gold rounds, and the silver rounds) are made of what feels to be very soft fleece rather than felt. These are much better than Molly's felt case for cleaning the glasses, and they have a flap at the top that would be better with velcro to keep the case closed, but are generally nicer than the old red and green felt cases.
In general, I'd give the Lilac an A and the case an A for the added usefulness in cleaning the glasses. If you're looking for specs for your dolls, I highly recommend getting these official AG ones.

But what exactly do you mean by "snapping" into place? I haven't noticed anything like snapping with the rectangle glasses I got for Beatrice (which she doesn't wear, because she's rebelling).
Goo:
Like I said, the rectangle glasses don't seem inclined to do it with certain face molds. Basically, Molly's new glasses and the lilac glasses are contoured around the standard face mold, so that they sort of "lock" into place. This means that they have a snug fit, look nice, and don't jostle or fall off when you move or play with the doll.
Keri:
Ah, I misread in there. Maybe it's got something to do with the wire versus plastic frames? I've got two pairs of AG sunglasses (from the Beachside Outfit and Kit's Swimsuit), and neither of them really fit into place - lots of sliding around.
Goo:
I think it has more to do with the shape, actually. Molly's new glasses and the lilac glasses have a contour that molds them to the face, so that they set into the cheeks, much like real glasses so (rest on the cheeks, nose, and ears to keep from falling off). The rectangle glasses and the sunglasses don't have that shape to them so they don't mold into the face as well.
