I have to give it an A!
I would give it an A+, but it is rather difficult to get the saddle to buckle under the horse. Doll balancing isn't too difficult thanks to the stirrups, but the saddle should have a saddle horn to keep the dolls from tipping forward. I haven't named mine yet, but he's already been ridden!
The "Our Generation" horses do not compare. I want to be able to "pet" a horse, and those ones are all plastic with no softness to them.
I think he has more play value than a piece of furniture, though, and you can braid his hair and stuff, too.

I am only semi-happy with the horse. We have the Palamino. The tail hair is a pain. It frizzes easier then any doll hair. It made no difference if we wet it and brush or combed it. What a pain. You also have to be careful not to snag into the velour of the horses body. Any and all snags show something awful. I have been meaning to send my daughter's back. Too bad I live so far and the box has to be so huge to return it. Grrrrrrr.
On the up side, the horse makes her happy. She genuinely likes having it and playing with it. Every girl dreams of having a horse. This will likely be the only one my daughter ever sees. She really loves it. I really like that they have the Grecian set to go with it. I think they need more to coincide with the horse collections besides that nasty pink grooming set that looks like NOTHING a proper rider would use for her horse.

We bought this horse to be Elizabeth's horse, as Felicity obviously has her Penny. I think that the lighter color looks nice with her.
I give this horse an A+. She is so much prettier in person than the AG stock photos. Her hair is soft and silky and we have not had any trouble with it frizzing, although a bit of static which is easily remedied. The hair is a pale, pale blonde, almost white.
Her coat is soft and lighter and more yellow than the stock photos, which make it look tan.
Unlike Penny, her bridle is removable, which is helpful when hooking her up to a sleigh or carriage. It velcros in two places under her neck.
Edited to fix broken picture link.
