Baxter the Bunny (1996-1998)

Oooh, this is one of my favorite American Girl Items! Baxter is a heavy little flocked, grey and white bunny who lives in a lovely red, wooden hutch. The hutch is made of real wood with metal screening realistically stapled on to the inside. The bottom is lined with "newspapers" as well as a permanent, printed bunch of carrots. Bunny fits inside beautifully. The set originally came with a purple bowl but since ours was purchased second hand we do not have it. My girls love taking Baxter in and out of his cage and having their dolls feed and hold him. I give this one an A+ and I think it is a shame that AG doesnt make this anymore. I would love to see more pets besides Licorice and Coconut.

I only have Baxter and the little cage, but I'm beyond happy with him. He is very small, but very cute and soft. The hutch is adorable... I love the newprint on the bottom. When I eventually get Wendy's room set up, the bunny is getting a place of honor. Her's is named Krypto the Super-Bunny. If you can get this set for a good price, I would definitely recommend it.

The bunny is small and flocked. the cage is red painted wood with a front door that raises and lowers. All side and top are screened.
