Grade: A
This set has a lot of play value. The notebook cover is made of material and looks just like real covers. You can also take the spiral bound notebook out of the cloth cover. The backpack has two pockets, the large main compartment and the small front pocket. The calculator really works (with battery of course). The report card is fun. It's carbon paper so you can fill out the top form and it copies onto others. Just like I remember from when I was in school. There is also the pencil and math book. The math book is the same as the one offered in all subsequent school sets. It's cute and has a couple chapters from a real math book.

I love this set too. A+ from me, its so cute and realistic. What's funny is that I had the same exact math book when I was in jr high (95-97) myself!

The 1999 accessories are sort of a rehash of 1995. The only thing new is the backpack. I love the colors, the shape, and the reflective logo.
The backpack has two pockets; one open and one zipped.
And inside is the same as 1995 except a green homework folder has been added.
The calculator really works but the battery is dead on mine.

Details... Looks like this one has a different fabric from the review above.

Details... Looks like this one has a different fabric from the review above. It seems that's because the one in the previous review is actually the 1999-2001 set of school supplies, which appears not to have its own page. Your set is definitely the earlier one - I have the same set and got it in 1995 or early 1996 for my GT13. I don't have pictures right now, but the parts I didn't lose as a child have held up very well. That includes the binder, report card, notebook, and math book. This is one of my favorite early sets, and I highly recommend it!
