Blue Jean Basics, Generation 1 Grade: A Where to start? This was one of the first Girl of Today outfits and it's still classic. A red t-shirt, blue jeans, black belt and a black converse. You don't get any more modern timeless than that! The Good: Like I said, this outfit seemed meant to last. There are many details that make this outfit great like the little logos on the converse shoes, and the realistic removable leather belt. The Bad: The jeans are pretty tight. I have to struggle to get them onto my PM Today Girl and they're even snug on my skinnier Mattel dolls. This means they always look squished in the hips, and sometimes you can see the velcro closure in the front. I don't know if it was just my set, but I've noticed the "squished" look in other outfits as well.

I hope you don't mind if I add my pics also. I took pics of the outfit earlier today because I saw that there were no pics included earlier.
Here's where the velco closure is visible. The logo on the shoe.

I bought the jeans and t-shirt (not pictured) from Lonie. The jeans are so cute! They have little pockets, close with velcro and a snap where ours would close with a zipper and button. The belt has a real buckle with tiny little holes to put the buckle through. The jeans are very very tiny and hard to squish Molly into. They are not as tough as Samantha's tights, but she had to do some tugging to get them on. They are really too tight to roll up at the cuffs like Molly's illustrations show, but I managed to roll them up a tiny bit.
The red t-shirt is a nice, basic style t-shirt which will look good with any mix-and-match style outfit for girls or boys. Grade: A

B+ I have one complete set and doubles of pieces of it. This isn't my favorite but it's OK. The jeans are tight.

I got this set to use as pieces. The jeans are for Molly because I remember reading in the original paper doll set that she wore jeans to work in the victory garden. The shirt and shoes are for the modern girls because I love converse, and all of them are too cool to wear jeans with such an outdated cut. The t-shirt is a nice, basic tee and I really like it. The jeans are a little snug, but they do fit PM dolls with a bit of work. I don't have pics of the shoes, but these are wonderful! Very real. My favorite part of the set. I'd give this an A- overall. It's classic and great for mix and match. Wendy in the shirt: Molly in the jeans:

I picked this up for a good price on eBay for Molly and my PM #4 Jessa to share. Yes, the pants are much too tight. I had to struggle to get Jessa in them. On the other hand, the shirt is cute, and I absolutely adore the realistic high-top sneakers. They remind me of the Converse high-tops that were popular in the late 80s and early 90s. They even have nifty rubber tread with the original AG of Today logo on them. The yellow socks are nice and thick, too.
Highly recommended if you can find it; great for boys and girls, as well as historicals Molly and Julie.

Talk about style! I think it should be called the mom jeans outfit. Very high waisted jeans. And yes, like everyone has stated above, they're pretty tight, even around the ankles. It's hard to get them up just to put the shoes on. The belt is detachable which is nice because you can put it on more stylish jeans. The bright red t-shirt works with so many outfits. "Real" Converse shoes for AG dolls! Mod edit to delete dead image links.

This is such a classic set and works on many dolls and eras. Looking at them now I think they would even work for Courtney.

I only had a handful of AGoT outfits growing up in the 1990s, and this was my favourite! I kept my complete childhood set, and picked up doubles of some of the pieces as an adult. I love the Converse-style high-tops the most, and it has a timeless quality overall. It gets an A+ from me!
