I have not tried this on a doll yet but have seen it on dolls at AGPLA it is a very cute set and the shirt would even go good with just a pair of jeans. ($32). What it comes with: Everything it comes with Close up of the shirt Close up of the wrap top The belts, headband, and practice pad

Awesome set! Everything is very realistic, but I'm a little confused as to why it only ties on one side. (My full- sized one ties on both) When she's not wearing a belt her gi falls open! Other than that, it's a wonderful set solid A.

I got this set because I live in a family where everyone does karate-- except for me. My dad is an 8th degree black belt and my mom and sister both take karate classes. Naturally, I thought it would be fun to get this set. Overall, I think it is very cute and accurate. The gi (AG spelled it wrong : and pants seem very similar in material and such as the ones my family wears. The colors of the belts vary from school to school, so the set includes all the colors usually used. The purple punching/kicking pad is adorable. My family got a real kick out of it, saying they could use it to practice punching with their fingers. My only complaint is that all the belts are too short to be tied correctly. Real karate belts have to be tied in a special way, tying them around twice and then knoting them in the front. The belts in this set are too short to tie twice around. However, it can still look realistic just tying it one around. Overall, I give this set an A-.

I am rather angry about the belts, mostly because I see it as AG trying to cut costs. It is okay though, because I can still make the knot I use in the shorter belt.

I don't know a thing about karate, so the inaccuracy of the belt didn't really bother me. Now that I know about it, I would prefer if you could tie it twice, but as it goes, it's really cute. I wish the jacket didn't have the big logo on the back. I generally don't like it when AG does stuff like that, like the "Pleasantville" library cards that used to come with the meet accessories. I appreciate that the outfit comes with two pairs of pants, which makes it much more versatile than any of the other 2-in-1s, which generally only have one set of bottoms. The t-shirt is really adorable and my dolls tend to wear it without the karate pants. Grade: A

I bought this set for my DS's bitty twin boys -- it fits them really well, though the t-shirt is a little tight. He loves playing karate with them!

I thought I'd add a little informational piece here, because I have no idea why AG has this in the description. The characters on the contrast shirt just say karate in Japanese.

This was a late birthday present I got for my Aunt and I have to say it's just adorable and she loves it. I, too, wish that they had done the belts more accurately; I feel that this would have been a good chance for AG to put in a little "educational" bit that wouldn't have been terribly difficult for them to actually get right, but I guess they didn't want to bother.
All in all it's very well made and super cute; I'd go so far to say that it would have been worth buying full-price though I only considered it when I saw it on sale!

While I don't have this (yeah I know, it's against the rules, but I know about Karate...) I'll put in about accuracy:
*Gi tops here have the dojo's symbol on the back, so it's fine with me *Yeah, the belts are to short, they're supposed to wrap around twice. And they only have solid belts, no purple-blue or green-blue or student black or anything. Not the best but at least they have a number of belts *I like that they have red and white pants. White is for everyone/beginners here... after you're up to blue belt or so you can buy a red gi if you want *You're allowed to wear t-shirts to karate in the summer, instead of the gi top.

This is the Karate Training Outfit, minus the headband. Sorry about the lack of headband. The belts come in black, red, brown, purple, blue, green, orange, yellow, and white. The practice pad. I find it pretty cool. The back of the shirt. This was a used outfit, so I believe the scratches on the logo originated from the previous owner. Here's the t-shirt with the pants. It's cute. *WARNING* It's kind of hard to see in this picture, but when I got the doll she was wearing the shirt for a while and she got a faint print on her body from the red symbol. It's only on her body though, not the vinyl, and it's a cool symbol. Just a warning to those who mind. Here's the gee without the belt and with white pants. And here's it with the belt. I find it adorable. Now here's the shirt with the red pants. I'm not sure how accurate it is to wear the belt without the gee, but here's the belt with the alternate outfit. And here's the gee with red pants and an alternate red belt. I would show the other colored belts on the outfits, but I couldn't be bothered. If you wanna request a picture of a certain outfit with a certain belt, let me know. Overall, it's a nice 2-in-1 outfit. It's my first one so I can't compare it to others, but the outfits can easily mix-and-match with each other and it has that cool punching pad.
