Such a divine idea!
It is such a divine set! it comes with a robe/ dress thing and a matching hat. also included was a necklace and slip on shoes
Good: such a divine outfit!
Bad: the shoes don't stay on and it's a little confusing to put the hat on(it took me a few tries!)

Here's the instructions if anyone else needs them!!
Tuck your doll's hair into her beautiful Kwanzaa head wrap. here's how:
1.gather your doll's hair into a ponytail on top of her head and secure it with a rubber band.Twist the ponytail around the rubber band to make a snug bun. use bobby pins to keep the bun in place.
2.Hold the headwrap so that the seamed side faces you and the narrow end points to the right.place the headwrap behind your doll's head.make sure the middle of the seamed side is against the back of her head.
3.Bring both ends of the wrap around to the front. cross the ends right over left to make an X at the center of your doll's forehead. fasten the black snap at the center front.
4. Bring the narrow end of the wrap around the left side of your doll's head to the center back. tuck the end into the center back of the headwrap, and fasten the silver snap.
5.tuck the wide end in at the back so that it covers the bun.

Here is a picture of my Addy wearing this outfit (minus the necklace): The headwrap seems confusing at first, but it really isn't that bad. I like the pretty simplicity of this outfit. However, the sandals can fall off since there is no backstrap to help them stay on. A-

I love the fabric of this set, it is vibrant, beautiful green and rusty orange with metallic shimmery gold, lovely. I have always felt the simplicity of the caftan was a bit, well, simple, especially when placed on a solid doll body. So, I have added some bits- I used the headband from the African Dance Outfit of Today's elasticized headband, folded so just the middle shows as a belt. I cut slits in the front of the caftan, snipped through the elastic of the head band , and threaded it through as a belt. Addy is also wearing the gold cuff from the set: I tried it with the plastic and nylon webbing choker and bracelet from the ADOoT, but that was a little too much: I modified the headwrap too because the original one was always too skimpy to "tuck the end of the wrap so it covers Addy's hair." No way, I have tugged, pulled, and adjusted and have never gotten it to fit. Addy's headwrap here is comprised of 3 pieces- the originally wrapped headwrap, another headwrap tucked into the top, and another dress folded and tied around the original headwrap for texture and elegance.

When I saw this set on eBay for a great price, I couldn't pass it up. My family has only celebrated Kwanzaa twice when we were younger but I have the fondest memories of those times. We had a beautiful display and read the Kwanzaa book together as we thought about the principles and how they applied to our lives. Now on to the review! Kwanzaa Outfit - A+Wow the material is gorgeous. It fits perfectly and I love that the head wrap can be put in a few different styles. My sister's doll Moiselle looks stunning in this ensemble. I had a leather bracelet lying around that made a very pretty belt. The shoes are a fake thong sandal, very nice. *mod edit to delete dead image links*
