I bought the Loft Bed set this weekend and love it. We aren't going to put the bed together because it won't fit in the Dolls' House (height-wise) with the loft on top, so we're going to keep the pieces separate.
They work out great as stand alone pieces as well:
The bed and furniture part is wooden with a bit of plastic where the bed snaps on and the hooks for the clothing to hang. The railing on the bed is metal and the desk chair is metal.
The little hamster, Polka-Dot seems like a proper size. He is small, but he's kind of hunched up so in reality he'd be longer. His wheel does spin well, but since Polka-Dot is flocked, hard plastic and he doesn't form well to the round-ness of the inside of the wheel. Cute though!
Grade A for this set. Expensive but LOTS of pieces!!

I won't do a complete review but will just add some of the surprises that I found after getting the bed: I thought this would require tools to put together, but in fact the 3 pieces just snap together. The bed is very sturdy and does not come apart at all, in fact I am not sure I could take it apart if I wanted to. The bed is very high, more than 2 ft tall. I did not realize this, despite the fact that it is clearly written in the catalog. So the bed does not fit in my doll house and I will need to add an addition to the doll house that can accommodate such a large piece of furniture. The cupboard under the bookshelf has sliding translucent doors. You can store all kinds of stuff in there! The desk is a quarter circle/moon shape. Not sure how to describe it but it's different than I thought. The pencil holder thing runs the whole length of the desk and you can put books or other things inside. The linens are not the best quality, they feel like polyester sheet sets you can buy at Wal-mart. Not awful but not Egyptian cotton either Typical AG these days. It's lower quality than the cream coloured trundle bed but higher quality than Mia if that is any indication but the cute factor makes up for it. I give the set an A. I won't give it an A+ because I feel it is a bit over priced.

Love, love, love this bed! It's my favorite item in McKenna's collection for sure! It's pricey, but I feel like it's worth it for all the pieces and the quality of the furniture. The bedding is thick and seems to be nice quality as well. I didn't take a lot of pictures of the individual pieces for lack of time, but if anyone wants specifics, feel free to message me. Solid A+!

Loft bed arrived today. Daughter says it is super cute and I agree. Best features are the little books, paper pad and pencils and the sliding door. Lots of play value. Easy to put together and the accessories are adorable.

To my pleasant surprise, McKenna's bed arrived on my doorstep this morning (after only being shipped out last night). It's my first furniture piece, so I was pretty excited to take it out of the box. I spent nearly the entire day planning out how I wanted to decorate it, where I wanted to put it, etc. It isn't in its permanent spot yet, but my impatient self couldn't help sprucing it up a bit and snapping a few pictures. : The bed is quite large, so large, in fact, that I think I might have to re-arrange my bedroom to accommodate for it, haha. (Right now it's kind of in the way of me being able to sit at my desk.) The colors of the bed and bedding are nice, I think they go well together. I love every piece in this set, especially Polka Dot and her cage. I've been a hamster lover all my life, so she's probably my favorite piece. The little pencils, the alarm clock and the lamp are so cute! The books are very nice, with a great amount of detail in each one. The chair and rug are lovely as well. Overall grade: A+ Pictures (I apologize for the poor lighting, I had to use the flash since it's dark outside and my room isn't very bright.): Full view: i1046.photobucket.com/albums/b470/sharayahlynn/My%20Girls/DSC075251.png [/img] Bottom: Top: Side view: Shelves: Board (yes, we have a few obsessions around here ):

I am extremely underwhelmed by this bed. I was super excited for it from pictures, but in person it is just meh. The bed itself seems well built, but the metal parts on the top of the loft are a bit odd. The colors (the purple on the bed and the purple on the metal part) don't match, which really bother me. The bedding feels very scratchy and cheap. The miniature books and hamster are nice but a lot of the other accessories also feel cheap like the bedding. I'd give it a B, just for it's redeeming features. ETA: Upon closer inspection, I'm revising my review a bit. Most of the other accessories are really nice and detailed. The only one I don't like is the trophy, which is very plastic-y and fake looking. The bedding, besides the comforter, is pretty nice. The comforter itself definitely leaves much to be desired. The bed also falls apart every time I pick it up... kind of annoying but not an issue if you leave it in one place. B+

This item is adorable! DD has a loft bed, so we really wanted to get it. It is easy to assemble and the little accessories are adorable. the box is very big and heavy, I was glad we drove to the store vs taking the bus. The cupboard under the bookshelf opens and items can be stored inside. The camera ran out of batteries before I got to the accessories. My score A+. Box compared to doll and 10 year old DD. Box open Item before assembly Elastic things on the board Holder for pencils Ladder is kind of lame. Doll cannot stand on it alone Two dolls having a chat Set up in DD's room DD's loft bed

The accessories are great! Much nicer than I had even expected. I did see the chair as most of the accessories were in the smaller box containing the chair. The chair is really cute and sturdy. Seeing the bed up close at AGPNY, I really like it. For those of you who want a "doll room" you really get it with this set. I give the entire set an A+. I think it is worth the money.
