We just got his outfit and it is just lovely! The purple fabric is much nicer in person than in pictures. It has a lovely soft sheen, not as shiny as it looks in the photos. The colour is very pretty as well, it's a little more of a wine colour than a bright purple. It also has a fun green lining in the bodice- a nice touch. A+
The hairband is also lovely- the bow on ours lays flatter than in the pictures and I think it looks much better that way. It's very on trend- my daughters and their friends wear very similar styles. It's that funny half-style that AG seems to do with all of their hairbands, but it is what it is and fits properly if you set it right. A+
The tights are nice black tights, good quality. A
The shoes are fine. Shiny purple with a black velvet bow. They're not as cute as some of the AG shoes, but they fit with the outfit and who couldn't use a pair of shiny purple shoes? A
My biggest beef with this outfit is the price. We got it slightly discounted, but it's a lot of money for what it is, especially since the accessories really make it. It's cute on its own, but the jacket makes it really special. Outfit + Accessories is almost 70 dollars and that's before tax and shipping. Ouch. A-

I love this outfit! Here it is on Allie, my #53. Purple is one of my favorite colors, so I love the dress. The headband and tights are good quality. The dress and shoes are a beautiful color. It's very easy to get on and Allie looks gorgeous in it.

This outfit is just lovely. It's nice to have a break from the usual red dresses AG's had for the last several years. The bodice is fitted nicely and the tights are high quality. The headband has a huge tag on it that necessitates scissors, but otherwise looks fine. If you don't push it far enough back on the doll's head, you can get a bit of a gap between the head and the headband (which looks silly). The shoes are okay, but they don't quite match the dress and they're not particularly stylish. Grade: A-

This was the dress I didn't so much want of the two 2012 releases, and I only bought it because it went on sale as well as the velvet jacket so it made for a nicely priced outfit. I am glad that I did. I'd already bought the companion Bitty outfit that worked well for my younger aged 18 inch dolls, so I nearly let this outfit pass.
The dress is classic, and at first look nothing that special. Upon having it in hand, I'll say it's well made, but not spectacularly so. Fabric and fit good, but nothing awe inspiring. But as mentioned, it is a change from the red, and it is very much a holiday, fancy dress. It fits the dolls well, the hem line is perfect on it IMO and it's exactly what it should be. It's better made, IMO than the Bitty counterpart and the bow is a much better size and the waist line works a lot better. On sale it is a good deal. Full price, I would not have bought it having seen it and I so chose not to spend that much on it upon first seeing it. Works very well with the velvet jacket, and I do like the headband a lot. Still a little tricky to get it to stay on, but much better than the Rosy Red head band that was just about impossible to place so it looked nice and stayed put. The shoes, I did not like at all. The purple was just not realistic to me. Reminded me of OG shoes which I despise, though the quality is much better. Did not match the dress well; maybe if it were darker, I would have liked it. Black patent leather look with purple or jewel garnish would have been much preferable.
I give it a 6-7.
