This item was introduced in February 2013, replacing her earlier Pajamas, and retired in December 2013 when Molly's collection was archived. When it's time for bed, Molly unbraids her hair and wears these pretty PJ's. They feature: A soft cotton top with sweet flutter sleeves and patch pockets. Matching pajama pants trimmed in blue ribbon. Sling-back slippers with dainty heels for a fancy touch.(debuted 2/14/13 - price $24) I also bought Molly's pajama's and think they are absolutely darling!! They are so "40"s, and I should know!! They fit perfectly, and the little pockets have elastic tops that are gathered. The print is out of the 40's too. They velcro in the back, and are very crisp and fresh looking. I,for one, think Molly would love them. You can't have just one pair of pajamas! The slippers are a cute touch, go perfectly with the pajamas and give Molly a little bit of Hollywood "glamour"! I too wondered how a little girl would feel with them on, since the material is a VERY thick and crisp broadcloth, almost too heavy to sleep in. A doll wouldn't matter, but if they do soften up after washing, then that would help tremendously. With their thickness, they should last for years and years!!

I love these pajamas! Mine don't feel as stiff as some others have said theirs did. They are a nice, thick material and really well made! I give the top and pants an A+. The slippers are a hard pleather material, with bottoms similar to the Sweet Kitten Heels from a few years ago. I'm not sure that I like that type of material for a slipper. It doesn't seem cozy or comfy to me. I also don't really like the seam at the top of them, B-. Overall, I give the set a solid A. Since there aren't any photos, I decided to take some. They are on my Vika, since Molly only wears her red striped pajamas around here. This review is for the 'Floral Pajamas" set. I purchased these on 3-3-2013. Pajama set: These are a two piece set. There is a top and a pair of full length pant style bottoms. And, a pair of matching slippers. The fabric is a good weight cotton. It is strong, polished cotton and pretty thick. The printed pattern is a light yellow and light blue plaid on white. In the center of the plaid boxes are small dark blue rosebuds. The overall effect is very pretty. The trim is made of a dark blue cotton piping, simular to the d. blue rosebuds. Also, there are dark blue satin bows as decoration. The Top: The top reminds me of a shift. The sleeves are 'cap'-style ruffles. The decoration includes the curved/rounded inset at the sholders. This was popular in the early 1940's. The neckline is straight across and has a small ruffle along the top. A d.blue bow is centered on the middle of the neckline. There are two rounded pockets with a gathered ruffle. This has elastic and gives slightly. They have the same dark blue trim around them and d.blue satin bows. The back has a velcro attachment. The Bottoms: These are well made. They are pants with an elastic waist. They fit very well. Molly can sit-up in them. The waist is high enough for her. There is a dark blue cotton piping trim at the cuff of the legs. Which is a very nice finish. The Slippers: Cute Blue Mules, with and elastic back for fitting. I like the style, they have a seam on the top, and look realistic. They fit well too. I'm not happy with the small "kitten" heel. I know Molly would not have had these heels. But, I'm sure this is made for kids, as well as adult collectors. Overall: A+ I am very well pleased with these PJ's. They are the 'Summer" PJ's Molly needed. I am the most impressed though, with the fact that they (AG) made sure that the "Plaid" matched up with the pieces on all of the top and bottom seams! That is hard and very nice. As well, the plaid is on a bias. Which means that there is a lot of care put into this outfit.

I love Molly's floral pajamas and she loves it too! The top is a bit snug on her PM body, but I think it makes it even cuter on her. It doesn't lie flat like it does on the Mattel girls but I'm okay with it. My Molly is not a fan of the slippers even though they are cute. She prefers to be comfy with just her socks. okay, this part of the review should go in the AG confessions thread.... I actually got the matching pajamas for myself! Go ahead and make fun if you want but I really like them. It's 100% polyester (eww.. I know) but actually they are very comfortable and comes out of the dryer wrinkle free! So if anyone is considering purchasing for a little girl (or self!) I recommend it. A+ for both doll size and people sized ones!

I want to make it clear that I bought these ONLY because I think they will be hard to find and expensive in the future. I don't care for them, I don't have a Molly or Emily. But I'm doing this review since I know some folks may be considering this purchase now that Molly's archival has been announced, and these are the PJS at AG for her.
First of all, they are truly 1940s style. AG does the homework for authenticity and it really shows in this piece. My MIL's reaction was that she had both PJS and slippers like those, very similar ones, and the whole look of the outfit old timey, in my opinion, unlike Emily's timeless PJs. They have a flat look to them that really bothers me and that is going to make it an issue in using the top as a modern day summer top, but that's the way they were made. Still can find some like this in some of the inexpensive stores here in NY, but not the comfy night wear I want personally.
Still, the PJs I got were not as coarse as the ones I had examined at AGPlace when they were first release.
If I had a Molly, I would have gotten them for certain. For collectors, it's a piece to get. For versatile use with other dolls, Ummm, I don't know, though I've seen them paired with the Bitty sailor looking short set and they do match, and They probably will work with the new blue pants that come with the green top.
One thing that I do NOT like about them is that I think AG was skimpy on fabric when making that top. You can see from the photos, that some of the amply stuffed Molly's have a tight fit in the top. Which for PJs makes no sense. It think just a wee bit more fabric t let the top look just a bit more smockish owuld have upped the quality of this piece tremendously. A fail on the part of AG , but given the timing and who it is for, it's not going to hurt the sales. It is very much a square wardrope piec. Well made, I have ot say in that there isn't a stray thread there and the stitching is as good as I've seen. They just should have cut the top with more allowance, and they chose not to do so.

I think these jammies are really cute. Admittedly I have a weakness for doll pajamas and own a lot of them, but these are just sweet. The vintage looking fabric, the ruffled sleeves, the little ruffly pockets, the blue slippers... I purchased these for my #40 rather than Molly (even though I have Molly) and she's been wearing them for about 2 weeks just because they look so comfortable and cute. Nice to see lightweight pajamas with long pants! They are also nicely made and fit the doll well. Only slight issue is that the print of the fabric of the shoulders on many of the shirts seems to be sightly crooked, but that's pretty minor. They get an A from me and I would wear them if they came in my size.

I think they are cute. But much to my surprise I don't like the sleeves on it! Molly has to wear it with a robe. But here she is without.

I just got these for my PC Molly custom, and they fit great. The slippers stay on, but the heel means you have to do some adjusting to get the doll to stand. They look beautifully tailored, and I'm actually a little jealous that these don't come in my size... ha ha. Here's Esmé wearing her new pjs.

I got these right before Molly's archival. (Fall 2013?) Anyways, I finally got around to taking some pictures of her in them and writing a review.
Here's a picture of what the pajamas look like, from top to bottom. Personally, I like the floral print and it coordinates really well with her bed. I felt that the fabric was a little stiff. The Red Striped Ones are a lot more flexible and just have that warm, cuddly PJ feel, where this seems like it was just ironed. I did not try washing it, but maybe that would help.
The top actually fits my PC Molly fairly well. If you have a really chubby Molly, you probably could fit her in it, but it could be a little tight. I like the details of the bows on the pockets and up on her chest.
Her slippers are held on by an elastic strap. I don't usually use that elastic strap because I am paranoid about it breaking. It actually seems pretty sturdy, I just hate hunting down little bits and pieces. I usually just put it over her foot so then it is shoved inside the slipper. These are actually cute. They are a nice shade of blue and match well. They just don't seem like slippers. No one wears heeled slippers that are hard. They seem more like day shoes.
Overall, I give this outfit an A-. It looks cute on Molly, but the fabric was slightly stiff and the slippers were kind of a bummer.
