I think this is a cute set. The saddle is basically a black, more decorative version of the Western Saddle set with a different saddle blanket.
I had to wonder about the colour: where I come from, tying something red on to your horse's tail is a warning to those behind that your mount is likely to kick
One thing I noticed is that the stirrup leathers seem a little too long when the doll is in the saddle, and the girth seems awfully narrow. It also sits further back than my memory suggests it should - but it's been a long time since I rode. The girth fastens with velcro.
Overall, it's a nifty set and I think it has great play value for kids (of all ages!).
